    Xbox One with FiOS Quantum


    I'm using the FiOS Quantum **** VMS1100 Media Server (that's the Quantum DVR) with my Xbox One that I have in the screening room but I've noted some strange behavior with it hooked up to Xbox One:

    If the Xbox One loses power (i.e. full shutdown or if the power actually goes out), the DVR's video and audio settings, though reported properly on the actual set-top-box menu, doesn't pass through as such. Instead, it drops down to the lowest video and
    audio settings available to the DVR. I literally have to go to the DVR's settings and change every setting to a different one before changing them back (i.e. video sharpness to 3 or audio format to stereo before changing them back to video sharpness 4 and
    audio format surround). However, with the resolution I have to change it down to 720p before changing it back to 1080p. Removing the Xbox One does resolve the issue.

    I know the **** boxes have there own share of problems but I'm guessing this is a bug with the Xbox One that needs to be resolved? Anyone else with FiOS have this problem?

    The DVR video and audio settings are:

    Resolution: 1080p

    Sharpness: 4 - Sharp

    3D TV: 3D Capable

    Audio Format: Surround

    Dynamic Range: Heavy

    The Xbox One's Video/Audio Settings which I haven't exactly touched after the initial setup are:

    Display Resolution: 1080p

    Range: Full Range (0-255) RGB

    Color Depth: 36bit

    Audio Setting: Surround (I believe 7.1)

    Need to open ports for 10>Xbox streaming

    Have a FIOS Quantum Router with a Amplifi HD Mesh Router. Need to ensure ports are open for streaming from Windows 10 -> Xbox One S. Do I have to open ports on both routers or just the Amplifi HD that both are connected to? If so, how do I do it?

    TV Freezing

    Same issue as other. Fios tv freezes, move off xbox one to separate Fios is fine. Tried other HDMI Cables still the same problem. no tv pr freezes with xbox one and cable box in the loop. This problem seemed to have escalated today. I do get a message saying
    xbox one lost the tv signal. Don't believe this is a tv issue. this is an issue with xbox one and not seeing the input of signal from fios box.

    Hey Guardian Hope - sorry about the issues. This isn't my area of expertise, but have you looked at the following settings:

    1) Display & sound -> TV Connection (drop down)

    2) TV & OneGuide -> Audio & Video -> Audio (Stereo vs Surround)

    Changing those may impact your experience, as it sounds like it's something with the EDID/HDMI negotiation.

    Hey Guardian Hope - sorry about the issues. This isn't my area of expertise, but have you looked at the following settings:

    1) Display & sound -> TV Connection (drop down)

    2) TV & OneGuide -> Audio & Video -> Audio (Stereo vs Surround)

    Changing those may impact your experience, as it sounds like it's something with the EDID/HDMI negotiation.

    Kinect sends multiple (duplicate) digits to my Verizon box when changing channels.

    Most if not all of us are using the Fios Quantum box(VMS1100) and using an XBOXOne manufactured in 2015.. Ok, fix the issue.. Stop asking what we are using as its been made perfectly clear already.

    Unfortunately my xbox is about as far away from the router as I can be the way the house is laid out, but isn't where the signal is the weakest. For example in the kitchen, I notice significant slowdown on my laptop and phone and not where my xbox is. I
    would be willing to try home plugs but not until I've ruled out a problem on my ISP's end.

    My wifi was initially 2 separate SSIDs (one that was named Fios-X the other Fios-X-5G) but they have since combined into one signal. Under my router settings, the xbox shows as connected to the 5G signal. I have no option to separate the channels either,
    which is something else that confused me. I have a Fios Quantum G1100 and supposedly I could do this by turning the Self-Organizing Network off, but I have been unable to find that setting. While I understand going for the better of two signals, why would
    the xbox be doing so at the cost of interrupting the connection, this seems pointless?
