    Xbox One Wireless/Wired Problem

    Hi,

I have an Xbox One that was working perfectly up until yesterday, switched it off night before, switched it on yesterday morning and it was at the set up screen, I picked language, then it says "Where is the internet? "Let's fix this"

Which network do you want to check? Wired/Wireless

Even though it is wired directly to the router and I clicked "wired" I get an error that says "sorry the wireless network hardware on this console isn't working, You'll need to book this for repair. To do this visit xbox.com/xboxone/repair

Unit is only 15 months old (purchased xmas 2014), it sits on a unit and hasn't moved, it gets used for controlling my sky/streaming/music.

I've tried resetting it, power cycles, resetting router and still the same. I would be terribly annoyed if I have to buy a new one or pay for an expensive repair given the relatively young age of the device Xbox One Wireless/Wired Problem :(

    Anyone any ideas? many thanks

    :)

  2. How many wired controllers?

I try connecting 3 wired and one wireless controllers the same time. System recognizes the wireless and only two of the wired ones. (The same green led lights on two wired controller and only one of them is active. Previously I used Xbox with 2 wired and
2 wireless - no problem. Is this normal? Can I not connect more than two wired controllers? Or is this a problem with my Xbox? Thx.

When you say power cycle did you do a hard reset. I suggest trying a hard reset like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

Always wireless here. Too many lightening storms have fried too many components through wired network. Last one was my wired xbox which caused me to need to buy a wireless adapter to get it online.

Of course wired is better for connectivity, but my online gaming is and has always been good with wireless. My internet doesn't allow a fast enough speed for movie streaming for wired or wireless, so no problem there anyways.

    Can't connect

Are you using a wired or wireless connection? My xbox seems to be fine with it. If your wireless try a wired connection as that fixed my connection problems
