Xbox one wireless not working right?

I get horrendous lag when i play games, but my cousins who are on the same connection don't. Does anyone know the issue behind this?

Need details, same connection as in they are sharing your connection in the same house, or they just use the same ISP?

Using a wired connection will provide the lowest latency, however, the difference shouldn't be that noticeable, but there are several things that will cause latency with wireless, interference from other wireless devices, like a neighbours router or cordless
phones, distance between your Xbox and the router and stuff like that.

Are you using 2.4ghz or 5ghz?

 

I'm not sure all i know is that my cousins play their xbox ones and never have problems with lag, and even when no one else is using the internet i still lag. I go from normal ping to high amounts constantly. It makes my xbox USELESS to play.

 

So are there multiple xbox one's in your home? The same network? If they are in your home that could be an issue. Some routers can't handle multiple xbox's connected.

If that's not it let us know.

 

My cousins play fine when they're online even when i get on mine. The only thing i see is i lag on a specific game only and thats Battlefield 4. But they don't.
