  1. XBOX ONE wireless network hardware problems

    Hi,

new to the forum so bear with me, I'm having problems with my wireless network on my xbox one. I have been using the same network for 2 years and nothing has changed, swithched the xbox on today and its coming up with "sorry, the network hardware is faulty
and needs to be sent for repair" I have contacted tech support who have gone through the usual resetting this and that but without success. They have told my that I will have to send it to them for repair at a cost of £85, now bearing in mind the console cost
£500 2 years ago I'm finding it hard to accept this cost after so little use. I cant help but feel that those of us who bought the first xbox ones have been the test subjects for obviously poor quality components. Has anyone else had this issue and resolved
it in a less expensive manner ?

    :)

Hey Werberth CRF! The console hardware is damaged and requires repair. Because you opened it you will not be able to do so, so you will need to purchase a new console. Thanks!

    Hi

As the console is less than a week only I would suggest you take it back to where you purchased it from and ask that they replace it for you as this will be quicker than sending it for repair.

Prior to taking the console back video the error along with the message displayed by the console to prove there is an issue with it.

Please try this. I have had it resolve this issue a number of times. Perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console
for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck!!

If that doesn't work you could also opt to run it wired.

You may also try connecting to your router via another device (phone, laptop/computer, etc) and try browsing the web. Just to ensure it's not your internet.

    (Optional: Try a wired connection)

    Xbox Connection Troubles

Hello Greta D, my name is Vanessa, I will be happy to help you in any way I can.

Has this problem been happening to you when trying to connect via wireless network? If so, follow these steps:

A wireless router broadcasts the network name (SSID) every few seconds. If a router is not broadcasting the network name, your console may not be able to "see" the wireless network.

If no other wireless devices detect your network, the problem is with your router and not your console. To fix the problem, first verify that the router is broadcasting the correct SSID. Consult your router's documentation or manufacturer's website for information on how to configure and update your specific networking hardware.

Once you've checked the SSID your router is broadcasting, configure the wireless settings on your console and use the SSID your router is broadcasting. For help, see:

I hope this helps solve your problem.

    Virtual greetings.

    Sincerely
