  1. Xbox one wireless hardware trouble

I took my Day One Xbox One apart yesterday to clean 4 years worth of dust and cat hair out of it since it has started to run a little louder and "hotter" than normal. After putting it back together I did a network test and it says there is a problem with
with the wireless hardware and needs to be repaired also my wireless controllers will not sync. I did some research and the wireless card apparently handles Bluetooth as well as Wifi. I never use wifi so Im ok with that not working however I would like the
Bluetooth functionality. I've seen replacement wireless cards online, is that something that can be swaped out by Plug-n-Play or would it need to be reformatted or something before it would work? Repairing it myself would be better for me since it's out of
warranty and I don't want to be without my X1 for an unknown length of time but I don't want to spend the money on a replacement wireless card if just doing a straight swap will not work. PLEASE HELP.

    :)

  3. Xbox One Wireless Hardware Problem

So every time I turn on my Xbox One it cannot detect my wifi. I follow the dialouge which takes me to the wireless settings. Then I click on test my network connection and once I do that it pops up with a message saying " You need to reset your consoles
wireless card as there may be a defect with the wireless hardware" that's not the exact words but that's pretty much what it says, but the thing that confuses me is after I reset the wireless hardware in the console it says "every thing is good!" And from
there everything acts normal and I can get on Xbox Live and go on with my day.

Why does it need to be reset every time I turn on My console and why does it work perfecly fine after I reset it? Is this something that needs a repair or could it be a bug because it only started about a month ago.

It works using the ethernet cable. But i want to connect wireless. I don’t want my ethernet cable all around the house
If it works with ethernet but not wireless then your gateway/router is not broadcasting it's SSID or the console is in a position with signal interference.

Do other devices detect the WiFi signal?

Have a look at Cant see wireless network solution for more information.

Did this console used to connect to your wifi? If so, I had a similar issue with my Xbox One and my Xbox One S too. I fully shut down the consoles, took them outside and used a can of compressed air to clear out the vents of dust. That seemed to do the
trick and helped somehow fix the wifi connection on both consoles.
