Xbox One Wireless Elite Controller Joystick Drift

I have encountered an error with my xbox one wireless elite controller. On my right stick the controller drifts up with no input from me. I suspected that it might be sticky so i cleansed it with rubbing alcohol but that did not change anything. I suspect
that it has something to do with the firmware or hardware inside of my controller. Ive concluded this because looking in the accessories app on my xbox i noticed that the mapping of my right stick is drifting up and will correct itself when i put the slightest
input on the right stick. My controller firmware is up to date and my warranty has expired on this controller. This is the only problem that has happened with this controller and I wanted some help. Thanks.

Hi, I have heard that a power recycle has helped some fix the drift, it won't hurt to try, might be lucky.

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in instant-on power mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Instant-on mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

I tried this out, no Luck. Thanks for the idea though.

Is there any current fix to this elite 2 contoller left joystick drift. Beyond annoying havent even had this controller but a few montths now.

after a certain amount of clicks and movements the joysticks do seem drift I suggest trying different joysticks and having a look at the control settings and see if anything has changed in there.

Thanks cant find much in the hitman settings settings ive only had this one for a few weeks had one replaced for drift previously then a front bumper just popped right out now this is my 3rd elite. The non elites have ever had an issue but the premium ones
seem to.
