Xbox One Wireless Earpiece

I've done some searching online in between work and sleep but I haven't seen or heard of anything about ANY Xbox One supported wireless earpiece. Again, an EAR-PIECE and not a full size headset.

I have no need to be a tryhard soundwhore and I already have a decent audio setup anyways so has anyone found ANYTHING about an Xbox One wireless earpiece?

If there has been no word as of yet, do you guys think Microsoft will release one for the Xbox One as they have like 2 for the Xbox 360?

YES! I've gone through 5 xbox one headsets at this point. Can we get a wireless earpiece for xbox one PLEASE?!

They will but they're going to wait a bit, they've already got the Kinect and the basic mic that can be used as a mic and on top of that there's like 5 or 6 different gaming headsets coming out next month plus supposedly the chat adapted to allow older gaming
headset to work, prehaps we'll see a reveal this summer.

 

Unfortunately though, I've seen nothing about the chat adapter working for Microsoft's OWN wireless earpiece.

That's because all the adaptor does is change the connection on the plug. Wireless headsets don't have a plug because they're wireless.

Older 360 headsets won't work because they use completely different technology. I can't tell you exactly what the 360 used (IR I believe) but the wireless connections for the Xbox One are WiFi Direct, something which the 360 doesn't have.

 

I'm in the exact same boat. All I want is an Xbox One Wireless Earpiece. I hate having the mic wired to the controller, so I've spent the entire morning browsing the internet for hope, and this forum is about as close as I've come. I just hope someone at
Microsoft sees this and gets cracking on a wifi direct earpiece.

 

I've bn searching all morning also with no luck. Hopefully they introduce one soon

 

I would't be totally surprised if a lineup of accessories were announced at E3 but at the same time, don't hold your breath. If they didn't sell well the last time around, there's a pretty good chance they won't even bother this time around.

 

I want one of these badly but so far no news form MS on one. sucks that 6 months in and we have literally 0 wireless headsets. hell i'd even pay 200 for a good wireless headset

 

I wouldn't say no to a wireless ear piece. I don't want to sound ungrateful or fussy but wires can be a pain sometimes if you want to reach over for a drink or something and you end up tugging your controller on the floor. I would buy it!

 

or the fact you want to get up and go get a drink, or just open a window, or just get up to stretch, you have to take off the headset when you put down the controller...What were they thinking going backwards and requiring WIRES all because they want to
use a proprietary overpriced headset adapter...pretty lame marketing all around...forcing wires on everybody in a wireless digital age.

 

Couldn't agree more with that to be fair. Wires do become a major first world problem when you want to do anything other than play games for even just a few seconds and it does become very annoying in what is quickly becoming a wire-free world. As I've said
in threads about this before, the Xbox 360 wireless headset had the exact opposite, I wore mine no matter where I was going in the house for however long (within reason) and the only issue this ever presented is that I once wore it to the shops by accident.

I agree with the above points! More importantly...they (wires) tickle your skin at the wrong time. Mostly when you just lost in a game lol.

 

Fortunately I noticed halfway in to town and crammed it in my pocket. Tickly face is another great pre-wireless point though. There's so many, I'm starting to think that it would be rude of Microsoft not to release one.
