  1. Xbox One wireless controller won't re-sync with console after Xbox Streaming

So... this problem has only propped up after the new Xbox One Experience update and also updating the Xbox app on my tablet. I haven't seen any other similar reports. I will stream my games to my Surface Pro 3 tablet when my wife wants to watch TV. I just
hook up my Xbox One controller via the USB port and I am up and running.

When I am finally ready to play on the TV, I try to re-synch the controller to the Xbox One controller and nothing happens. I have a Kinect and the controller used to be able to sync just using the Kinect camera. That doesn't work, so I try the button on the
side of the console... still nothing. The only way I have managed to re-synch the controller is to physically plug it into the console via USB cable. Note, this re-synching issue ONLY happens after using the controller through streaming. Otherwise any controller
will sync through the Kinect just like normal.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

    :)

    Notes

    • If the controller doesn't respond, try a different micro-USB cable.
    • To use your Xbox Wireless Controller with your console after using it with a PC, you must re-sync the controller to the console. You can do this by using the wireless sync button or a USB cable. For details, see Connect

Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

    Hi,

One possible reason as to why you're encountering this issue is due to the updates for the controller's firmware and the Windows 10 device not properly installed. We recommend that you follow the steps provided on this

    link
on how to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10. Do this on both controllers.

    After updating, kindly access this
    link
and follow the steps on how to power cycle your Xbox One console. Turn on your console, re-sync the controllers and check if you'll encounter the same issue. See

Connect a wireless Xbox One controller to your console
    for the steps.

Keep us posted with the progress. We'd be glad to further assist you.
    Thank you for your assistance.

I have to state more clearly that the problem described above exists only when streaming and the two controllers are connecting to PC rather than directly connecting to the console. And such configuration did work well ever since streaming was born.

Sadly, before posting here, I have already check the controller firmware things using both Xbox Accessories app on Win 10 and Xbox console Settings, which all state that the controllers are updated, with firmware version 2.3.2381.0 .

Following your suggestion, I power cycled the Xbox one console, re-synced the two controllers to the console, then again re-synced to the PC (with Xbox Wireless Adapter), started streaming. But comes no luck.

I have also tried the Xbox beta app, same result. It seems that the issue is caused by the recent versions of Xbox App for Win10, because everything was fine a week ago.

    Controller connected but not working

Having a similar issue myself. Recently got 20th anniversary controller. My son changed the batteries and it won't work now. It'll turn on the console but won't control anything.

I synced it with my phone and it works. After that, I re-synced it with the console. It appears to sync, but no functionality. Won't show up as a connected device either.

Update: I just got it to work. Multiple re-sync attempts and leaving the console unplugged for about ten min.

XBox Elite Series 2 unplugged from PC using USB won't auto connect to Bluetooth

That doesnt make any sense. Why would you design a bluetooth protocol on your own OS that didnt auto connect?
It should auto connect. My controller does.

The only time my Xbox One controller won't auto connect is when I've connected it to my gaming PC via USB to charge the battery. After this I have to re-sync the controller. But I only have to do this for the duration of the battery charge. My controller
auto syncs first time from Windows boot up.

The issue is that the controller has two wireless protocols. It does not use Bluetooth with the wireless gaming receiver, or when connected to an Xbox console.

If your controller won't auto connect then there must be something wrong with your Bluetooth hardware on your PC. Have you tried a Bluetooth dongle to test this out?
