    Xbox one, wireless controller, using USB cable for connection, operating Windows 10, on Steam.


    I have Steam, and many games on Steam I want to play. I am finally happy with the upgrade to the new Xbox 1 wireless controller, it is lighter, sleek, just perfect. I wish to use this controller on my recently purchased PC for gaming on Steam. I tried connected
    the cable, It works perfectly fine from anywhere of 5 minutes to roughly 20 minutes of gaming. Then some of the buttons stop responding so well, the game I am playing runs fine but the controller responses stop and i am stuck in repetition until I unplug the
    controller, and hook it back up then it works for like 10 seconds to like 3 minutes and repeat concern. I have downloaded recommended drivers from Microsoft, and want to know if there is an actually fix for this, as I would absolutely **** (apologies for colorful
    language) LOVE, to play my games with this controller and have no more issues with it.

    Don't buy xbox wireless controller if you're using pc.

    Granted, I haven't tried connecting the controller via Bluetooth, but I was using a Day One Wireless Controller together with a Micro USB cable and recently the Xbox Wireless Controller that comes with the Oculus Rift and the Wireless receiver, and the triggers
    work completely fine.

    Even the rumble from the impulse triggers works with Forza Apex on my Windows 10.

    May I ask what game you are trying to play that doesn't work? And what operating system are you using?

    Does Dusk Shadow xbox one controller have Bluetooth?

    Hi

    I have a just bought a Dusk Shadow controller and looking to connect it to my Windows 10 PC for playing games on Steam.

    Just updated the firmware using a USB cable and tested it works with one of my Steam games - so far so good.

    Ideally i want to play wirelessly, but i dont know if i need to buy a Bluetooth dongle or an Xbox wireless adapter. I cant find any information that confirms whether the controller has Bluetooth or not, does anyone know for sure?

    The Xbox One Wireless Controller can be used to play Xbox games on your PC when connected via micro-USB cable or a wireless USB adapter. To properly isolate your concern, please provide us the following information:

    • Are you trying to use an Xbox Elite Controller?
    • Are you using a micro-USB or a wireless USB adapter to connect the controller to your PC?
    • Do you receive the same message when using the controller on the Xbox App?
    • Have you installed the drivers for the controllers on your Windows 10 PC?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you connect the controller via Bluetooth by following the steps on this

    link     to check if the issue is with the controller or the configuration settings on your computer.

    To help clarify, Are you using a 3rd party Micro USB cable to connect your Xbox One Wireless controller?

    I have the answer it states at the xbox website “The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is also compatible with PCs running Windows 7 or later versions. To connect the controller to a PC, use the included
    USB cable or use the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows (Windows 10 only).” hope this helps
