Xbox One Wireless Controller Sound Issues

Hello everyone. I have the wireless xbox one controller for windows and I have some problems with the audio through the controller. The headphones I use are the Seinheiser HD 439 and when I plug them to my controller they are immediately recognized and work
fine. However after a while, when gaming, the sound stops. I checked the playback devices when this happened and the headphones were not listed (disconnecting and connecting them again solves the problem). I tried using the controller with the headphones while
watching a movie to see if the problem would occur and again the sound stopped (although it kept working longer than in games). This time the headphones were shown in playback devices, but the didn't play any sound.

This problem does not occur when the controller is connected to the PC with a wire, so it has something to do with the wireless signal (maybe the adapter can't handle it?). I have to also mention that when I watch a movie or listen to music (either with
the controller connected to the PC or wirelessly) I hear a clicking sound who jumps from the right/left headphone to the other, but never hear simultaneously on both. I haven't noticed that sound while playing games.

So, any help?

Xbox One Stereo adapter with Windows 10?

So I'm trying to set up sound playing through my wireless xbox one controller. Its connected to my PC using the wireless receiver. How do I get sound to play from my PC to my controller through the stereo adapter? I googled it and the supporting documents
seem very basic.

If this makes more sense.

Windows 10/PC Sounds -> Wireless Adapater -> Wireless Xbox One Controller -> Stereo adapter -> Headphones.

I would definitely double check to make sure that you have used new batteries and that they are fully seated in the controller correctly, it sounds like its using low/dead batteries.

Try updating your controller.

 

LastbornBrute I believe I have the latest driver (21.50.45.656) since Xbox Accessories app doesn't show me any updates. I should mention that when I first connected the adapter to my PC it didn't recognize it, so I had to manually install the driver from
Microsoft's Update Catalog (catalog.update.microsoft.com).

 

Controller firmware isn't the same as Windows driver.

Update your device using "Xbox Accessories" application by following manual:

support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter

I get no updates from the Xbox Accessories app. The driver I mentioned before was for the adapter.
