  1. XBOX One - wireless controller question

    Hi,

I recently bought (another) XBOX One. The new one came with the wireless controller with 3.5mm headphone socket. I may have misunderstood but I thought this meant that you could use ordinary headphones with the wireless controller. However, the sound still
comes from the TV as before. I get sound through the earphones *and* through the TV.

Is there a way of choosing to have the sound come through the earphones and not the TV?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

    :)

Are all Xbox One Controllers going to be Wireless?

    Yes, but also no.

Every Xbox One controller is wireless. However, when you plug it in via USB it becomes wired and sends the signal via wire instead of wireless (while also charging batteries, if you are using the charge-pack - or in the case of your question, it's using the power via cable instead of the batteries).

This is in contrast to how Xbox 360 controllers work. X360 has both wireless and wired. An X360 wireless controller when plugged in via USB is still sending the signal wireless, but is getting power via the USB. This is why you can't plug an Xbox 360 wireless controller via USB into your computer and have it work, because the controller is still sending a wireless signal.

This makes the Xbox One controllers great for both Xbox One and PC gaming, because you don't need to buy a 'wired' controller for it to work on the PC, you can just plug it in via USB and it'll send the signal via USB instead. I'm really glad Microsoft did this.

Xbox One Controller Blinks 2 times then shutdowns.

    Hello there,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. My first question would be what have you tried already? Have you replaced the batteries or charged the controller?

You may want to take a look at this link for more troubleshooting :

XBOX One - wireless controller question

I haven't seen an option yet, if it helps turn the TV all the way down to 0 while gaming with earphones.

I don't believe that is an option as of this time, like Tiffsany suggested, turning your TV down all the way is the best option, I do exactly the same with my Astros and it's easier than having to fiddle with settings.

Anymore problems be sure to come back! XBOX One - wireless controller question :)

xbox wireless adapters compatibility (360 one) with xbox controllers (one 360)

    Hiya!

Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to answer your questions.

    1. You can use your Xbox 360 wireless controller adapter only for your Xbox 360 controller and not your Xbox One.

    2. The Xbox One wireless controller can only work with the Xbox One controllers on your windows 10 PC.

    3. It depends on which wireless adapter you use for the PC. Here is a link on the

compatibility for wireless adapter for Xbox One controller to PC.

I hope I was able to answer your question. Please let us know how we did.

    Happy Gaming!

XBox One glitch FIFA20, cursor gets stuck on the GK

    Hi PaulBinning,

It is often best to create your own question threads when having issues as if the original question has been answered, the thread will be locked and your question gets lost in the sea of responses.

From what you describe, it could possibly be an in game bug and a question worth posting on the Official EA Sports FIFA forum.

If there is an issue with the controller, check out this Xbox One Wireless Controller Solution support page.

    Hope this helps :)
