Xbox One Wireless Controller Issues

I was playing COD the other night, and my controller disconnected. I tried to turn it back on and it kept flashing when I held it. It never turned back on. So I decided to take a break and had to turn off the console manually instead of using my controller.
The next day I tried again, and my controller wouldn't turn on, just kept flashing. So I gave up. After that day, I tried again. I turned on my Xbox One and held the home button and noticed if I held it, I could navigate on my Xbox One (It takes a couple of
try's to get it on and to stay without disconnecting.) Once I let go, my controller would disconnect. If someone could help me on how to fix this, that would be great. I am using a wireless controller with the charge kit. I also have another controller that
is my brothers and his works fine. I can use his, but if I want to split screen with him, I can't. As I said, help will be great. (parents don't care so have to figure it out by myself.)

Xbox One controller to your console" and "Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect" . Let us know if you continue to have

I had a similar issue with one of my controllers recently. Try holding the sync buttons on both the controller and console at the same time until the wireless controller reconnects.

The sync button on the controller can be found at the front and the sync button on the console is on the left hand side just in front of the USB port.

 

I have already tried that. When I try to sync it, nothing happens. Is there a certain way to sync it. I had my Xbox on and held both sync buttons. Does my controller have to be on? My controller won't stay on unless I hold the home button.

 

Ok, I want you to try some fresh batteries with the controller instead of the play and charge one. Perhaps the issue may be with the rechargeable battery.

 

I have traded out my controllers chargeable batteries with my brothers, nothing worked. I also did what you said and put in batteries and it is having the same problem as before. Is there another thing I could try. If not I will have to buy a new controller.

 

You could try power cycling the console by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that will solve the issue as well.

Did you update the controller from the Settings menu yet? If not, give that a try as well.

Both my Xbox one controllers won't let me go to the home screen or type in a app just started this afternoon...I'm eastern that was 12:45 a.m

 

Both my controllers home button do not work. I can not go to the home screen if in a game, nor can I open the side bar in order to make GameDVRs or check anything when playing a game. I have even tried using xbox one smart glass controller feature and even
then the home button on there doesn't work either. I have tried a few the suggestions about holding the home button and everything and NOTHING has worked at all.

I'm having the same home button issue.

 

No matter what xbox one controller I use, the home button will not work. It works when I use it to turn on the Xbox one. But I can't use it after that.

I am having issues with my Halo Master Chief Controller that I purchased in October. It came with AA batteries included so I used these until they ran out of power then I swapped my rechargeable battery from my original black wireless controller over to
my new Halo controller. At first everything seemed OK until it said it needed charging up. Now every time I charge the battery in the controller it will say fully charged but sometimes doesn't last 30 mins after starting to use it and constantly says batteries
low. I put the battery back in my old original controller and it says it is fully charged and works fine. If any body has any ideas on how to help with this it would be appreciated. Thanks
