Xbox One wireless controller issues - low battery all the time? Mic not working?

Hi, I've had my xbox one just under a year now, so it is still under warranty. Lately, the controller will constantly alert me that my batteries are low and constantly turn off - even if I have just replaced with brand new batteries.

Also, semi-related, I often have a hard time getting the microphone on both of my headsets to work when in a party. It could be working one second, but then my controller will shut off, so I'll start it back up, and the microphone will no longer be working.
Very frustrating.

I can't find any troubleshooting about these issues.

I tried to set up a service request but it keeps saying my controller's PID # is "not available.":

"We’re sorry. The accessory or device you are requesting is not available. "

Obsessive Power

Does the mic work on other controllers? Are the batteries fully charged? If you are using a wireless pad, low batteries will cause the Mic to stop working.

Since it is still under warranty, I would suggest replacing it while you still can. If you still have any issues after receiving a new controller, the problem may lie with the console

Guys most of the time mic issues (such as you can mute it and still hear beeps) is due to low batteries. The ones that came with my controller were already close to dead mic acted up and I switched batteries and now it works perfectly.

The controllers will usually stop rumbling when the batteries start to get low. If you replace the batteries, you should get the rumble back!

•Make sure that the game you’re playing supports vibration. Not all games support vibration of game controllers.

•If the game you’re playing does support vibration, make sure that vibration is enabled. For more information, see the user’s manual for that game.

•Make sure that the battery pack or batteries in your wireless controller are fully charged. When the controller detects that the charge in the battery pack or batteries is low, it turns off vibration to conserve the remainder of the charge.

•If you have another Xbox One Wireless Controller, try to reproduce vibration in the second controller. If the second controller reproduces the same issue, it’s likely that the game you’re using is having an issue. Consult the troubleshooting information
