Xbox One Wireless controller is not out putting any sound through the 3.5mm jack

Hi, does any one know how to fix this problem as my controller is one of the Dusk shadow ones. the controller currently doesn't have any sound coming out from the 3.5mm jack or any vibration feed back in games even though it is turned on. If any one has
any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

New Controller - 3.5mm Jack Question

All game sounds and chat functionality work fantastic with the new controller with the 3.5mm jack. I am currently using a pair of stereo Gioteck HC2's plugged into the 3.5mm jack and they work great. Any gaming headset that is wired should also work fine
    through it.

Elite controller low level white noise

I recently purchased an Xbox one elite controller and noticed that it has a low level white noise hiss through the 3.5mm port to a set of earbuds, even with the headphone volume turned all the way down on the dashboard. My white Xbox one S wireless controller
does not have the same issue. There is no low level white noise in the white controller through its 3.5mm jack.

Note, this is NOT the microphone white noise issue that occurs with some headsets.

I have a similar issue with the audio jack. (See
    forums.xbox.com/.../2203333.aspx
) First I thought that it must be a hardware issue but if more people have the same issue it could be a software issue instead. Does Windows show your controller as audio device if headphones are attached to it? Is Windows
using it to play sounds? What is the model number of your controller? My controller has the model number 1697. You can find it inside the battery compartment. What is the firmware version of your controller? Mine has the version 2.3.2385.0. On Windows 10 you
can use the Xbox Accessory app to check the version number (www.microsoft.com/.../9nblggh30xj3)

    External mic

I was about to purchase a razer wolverine ultimate controller and was wondering if i could hook that up to my external mic it seems to have a audio 3.5mm jack and would there be any difference if i was using a wireless headset?
Yes the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Controller has a 3.5mm jack and you would be able to use any headset with a 3.5mm jack. Depending on the type of wireless headset you have you can hook it up through the xbox or through
the controller. Hope this helps :)

With the stereo chat adapter for Xbox One controllers, you can use any headset with a 3.5mm jack and through that you can play game/system sounds as well as chat.

How best to keep a headset for Xbox One

I have a pair of Tritton Primers, they are wireless ones, the sound going into the wireless box is from a 3.5mm jack to piggyback Red and White audio cables. Would a m-m 3.5mm jack work?
