Xbox One wireless controller connection

Just got my Xb1 COD:ADW Limited Edition about 8hrs ago and is having trouble connecting my xb1 controller to the console tried all solutions still won't power on and connect. Is there any way I can resolve this issue?

Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

I'm pretty sure all "wireless" headsets connect to the controller for the Xbox One.

Hey there Buck Tha Don!

Sorry to hear about the controller issue. First, take out the batteries and reinsert them. If that doesn't now work, power cycle the Xbox One console by following the steps below:

Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

When the console is powered off, unplug the power from the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes,

Plug in and power on the console and try connecting your controller again.

Post back and let us know how that goes!

If this controller was previously connected to the console but is no longer able to connect, you should repeat the connection process using the console’s connect button.

by the way i try everything. move xbox all over the house and take it to my m8s house turn network off still not workin

"am I being stupid".... No, everyone has trouble from time to time. But, let me suggest following up with a couple of things, "Connect a wireless
Xbox One controller to your console" and "Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect" . Let us know if you continue to have
