    Xbox One wireless connection

What Country/State/Province do you live in? Canada, Manitoba

Modem brand & model number: No Modem

Router brand & model number: Cisco DPC3825

How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?: One

Wired or wireless (for each console): wireless

Things you have tried: All the support solutions on the page as well as https://myservice.xbox.com/en-CA/Pages/Welcome.aspx

    Is UPnP Enabled? Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? In the network setup page it says Open, but in games it says Moderate

Any Error Codes you encounter: None

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Shaw Communications

When I was having the issues with multiplayer and party chat I disconnected my Xbox One from the internet and restarted my router, now my xbox doesn't connect to the network. It gives me the message "Cannot connect. Check your network name and
password and try again." I know that the name and password are correct because my other devices connect just fine.

What do I do to fix this?

    :)

  3. Dedicated servers? Then why the lag and connection advantages?

It's your wireless. I noticed my connection was 20Mbps slower on Xbox One than it was supposed to be with my wireless so I connected my Xbox One with a cable and I got the missing 20Mbps back.

    Xbox One wireless connection

    Hi there Komarados!

So sorry to hear about the connection issues!

Thanks for all of the information you've supplied in this thread. Have you also tried using our

    Xbox One Connection Solution
page? The Router you've listed is indeed inside the Modem end of the Networking Hardware Forums for your Cisco DPC3825. I'd recommend checking out the DPC3825's Support forums for any further issues.

When it says you have a Moderate NAT type in game it may be an issue with you restarting your router. Have you tried setting up your ports and tailoring them to the same settings before you restarted it?

    Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser of your choice.
    2. In the URL bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. When you are asked for a username or password, fill it in.
    4. In the menu bar on the top, select Applications & Gaming.
    5. There should be sub tabs then select Port Range Forwarding.
    6. In Start Port and End Port type in 3074.
    7. In the Protocol drop-down box select both of your choices.
    8. In IP Address type in the IP Address of the Xbox.
    9. Put a check in the Enable box.
    10. Select Save Settings.
Let me know if this has worked for you so we can get you back into game without issues!

    About the controller connection

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. That is a great question. The console allows up to eight wireless controllers to connect to the console. The article entitled, "Connect
a wireless Xbox One controller to your console
" contains information about the Xbox One controllers. The article states, "You can connect up to eight wireless controllers to a console." We hope this helps!

2 Xbox1 controllers wont work, need help.

    Hello Hax0R246,

"am I being stupid".... No, everyone has trouble from time to time. But, let me suggest following up with a couple of things, "Connect a wireless
Xbox One controller to your console
" and "Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect" . Let us know if you continue to have
issues connecting the controller to your Xbox.
