  1. Xbox One wireless connection worse than the 360's?

    Hey all,

I'm experiencing some heavy lag issues with my xbox One (mainly whilst playing BF4). I'm running wireless (yes I know this is not optimal) because I'm unable to get a ethernet cable up to my room. But when I am running wireless on my 360 there's no problems
at all. No lag, no disconnection, nothing.

Is the wireless connection of the Xbox One worse than that of the 360? Because it would be wierd that the next gen console has a worse wireless connection.

    Thanks in advance,

    :)

  2. Dedicated servers? Then why the lag and connection advantages?

It's your wireless. I noticed my connection was 20Mbps slower on Xbox One than it was supposed to be with my wireless so I connected my Xbox One with a cable and I got the missing 20Mbps back.

Service Alert On Xbox 360, No errors, 2 machines

Both of the 360 consoles are on a wifi (wireless) connection. Each one is connected to separate routers. All necessary ports are open and the NAT Type on my Xbox One is 'Open'. The Xbox one is connected to one of the routers with one of the 360's.

Can't connect to Wireless Network anymore

    Check your routers™s wireless settings

You might need to change your wireless router settings. Here are some things you should know:•Xbox 360 S console: The Xbox 360 S consoles™s built-in Wi-Fi uses the 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) frequency band. If your router is broadcasting using another frequency,
your Xbox 360 S console cannot connect to your wireless network. Check your router documentation to find out how to set your router to broadcast at 2.4 GHz. If you want to connect using the 5 GHz frequency band, you will need to add the black Xbox 360 Wireless
N Networking Adapter to your Xbox 360 S console.

•Xbox 360 S console and black adapter: The Xbox 360 S console and the black Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter cannot use the 802.11n wireless protocol in combination with WEP or WPA TKIP encryption. If your router requires WEP or WPA encryption, your
console will try to connect to your wireless network using a slower wireless protocol such as 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11a.

•Use WPA2 if possible: The best wireless encryption to use with your Xbox 360 console is WPA2 with AES encryption.

•Wireless N router and a gray adapter: If you have an 802.11n or N type router and a gray Xbox 360 Wireless G Networking Adapter, configure your N type router to use a mixed mode; broadcast using a combination of wireless standard N and either B, G, or A.

360 Thumb Sticks on Xbox One Controller

The 360's is a little bit bigger than the one's on the Xbox 1. Also, I find the sticks on the Xbox 1 much more easier to move they have less resistance than the sticks on my wireless controller for my Xbox 360 slim console.
