Xbox One Wireless Connection Intermittent

My wife recently bought me an Xbox One for my birthday, however since day one the box only connects intermittently to my wireless network. It often does not even see my wireless network on the list (however it does see my neighbors' wireless networks), and
entering the ssid has the same result. After hours of trying and restarting all devices involved I am sometimes rewarded with half a day of connected play.

The PS3 I sold, because I now have a new console, never gave me any problems, and all my other devices connect fine. I did read online and was surprised by the vast number of people experiencing a similar issue. I followed all their advice, including the
troubleshooting advice on the xbox one site, to no avail. The wireless connection is still horribly unreliable and I am hoping someone here has a workable solution for me.

I am willing to struggle with this for one more day, after which I will take the Xbox One back in favor of the PS4. That would really be a pity since I love the kinect features for my kids, but I'm unwilling to pay so much money for a broken toy.

Xbxo Live connections issues

Hello, bostonmobb0341! Based on the results you posted, it looks like you are trying to connect with the wireless adapter from your Xbox, correct? Have you tried to use a wired connection to your router? It seems to me that the wireless router is not
handing out an address for your Xbox. If you have other wireless devices in the home, are those devices experiencing intermittent connection issues, as well? If other wireless devices are experiencing intermittent connection issues, then it could be the wireless
radio in your router might be dead/dying. Try a wired connection, if you can, and post up your results.

Is the connection stable enough or are you experience intermittent connectivity issues to Xbox LIVE?

Have you tried to change the wireless channel and see if it improves anything. This was one of the solutions from the guide I've posted.

Try changing the wifi channel.

You can do this by logging into your router settings using a web browser.

If you post the make and model of your router someone with knowledge of that router may be able to tell you how to do it.
