    Xbox One Wireless Adapter only works after USB reconnect on Win10


    Hey,

    i've got a issue with the Xbox One Wireless adapter. The problem is... after starting Windows i must first disconnect (Windows feedbacked this with the standard sound) an reconnected the Wireless Adapter on USB that i can connected with my Xbox One and with
    the Elite Controller. The drivers are active in the Device Manager. That sucks because i didn't use Keyboard/Mouse ... i only use the Controllers with Controller Companion App from Steam.

    - Gamepads get the newest firmware update (per USB cable)

    - Driver are the newest from Microsoft catalog (driversignature 21.50.45.656 from 08.12.2015)

    - Fresh paired with the Doongle

    - Tested on all USB Ports (Asus Ranger VII)

    The old Xbox 360 Receiver works perfect since beginning.



    Any Ideas? Solutions?

    Hi. I just bought a wireless adapter for Xbox one to play on pc with win10. Installation goes ok VIA Windows update-win10 ofcourse. Controller works ok but i have no vibration at all. I tried Xbox accesiores app and vib are on. Firmware are up to date. Adapter
    is an earlier version from 2015. Batteriies new full duracell. Windows update and device manager shows that everything is up to date. Vibrations work on micro USB cable so controller its working 100%.

    Xbox One controller on Win 10 Forgets the Xbox Adapter for Windows

    I am seeing the same issue on Windows 10. After shutting off my PC, I have to re-sync my wireless adapter with my XboxOne controller. In fact, I have to disconnect the wireless adapter from the USB port and reconnect for it to sync up. As OP said, controller
    does work fine when it is synced.

    (At first I thought it was an USB port issue, but all my other devices: mouse, Steam controller, PS4 wireless headset, all work perfectly fine in the various ports.)

    hi guys, just wanna share my findings,

    i notice the bug or issues occurs when u pair your pad with the wireless adapter then either shut down your pc or rebooted while your game pad is still paired and power on.

    so the next reboot your adapter will have either two problems,

    1. Disconnect halfway during gameplay then unpairable

    2.Adapter failed to detect by windows

    Temp solution

    Remove your adapter, reboot windows,

    plug it back, pair your gamepad . Once pair, manually turn off the pad by holding the HOME button , then reboot.

    And it should pair perfectly on next reboot when u power on your gamepad, but REMEMBER !!

    NEVER TURN OFF YOUR PC WITH THE GAMEPAD PAIRED AND POWER ON, TURN OFF THE PAD MANUALLY before power off your pc or reboot

    I been playing with mine for a week , no issue so far. Good luck , hope microsoft fix this soon.

    xbox adapter driver = latest

    xbox gamepad firmware = latest

    windows = 64bit anniversary patch + latest updates

    hi guys, just wanna share my findings,

    Xbox controllers for windows 10

    If you want to use the Xbox One gamepad on a PC. So via USB it will work on Win10 without any problem.

    If you want to use it wirelessly, you have to buy a USB adapter.

    Any Xbox one controller will connect via USB, Bluetooth, or the Xbox wireless adapter. You need to use USB or the Xbox adapter for headset support

    Is it possible to connect a Xbox 360 controller to windows 11 for steam gameplay?

    The driver is built into windows

    You need to have an Xbox 360 wireless usb adapter or a USB-only pad for it to work.
