Xbox One Wireless Adapter, no Audio and Xbox Accessories App doesn't exist in the Windows ...

I'm unable to find the Xbox Accessories App, which is a separate from the Xbox App, it doesn't exist in the Windows Store, under troubleshooting for the Xbox Wireless Adapter it says to download and install the Xbox Accessories App if it didn't install automatically.

Even after choosing "Headphones" and setting it as my default device it still won't output any system audio or game audio to through my controller and to my Xbox headset connected to the controller. When pressing the "mute" button it turns orange, and pressing
up on the volume and reaching the max level makes a beep to let you know you've reached the limit. So the headphones are detected and they work, just can't get the system audio/game audio to work.

    :)

Xbox wireless adapter for Windows 10

Guys make sure you upadate your controller via USB by connecting it to the Xbox One console directly, after that pair the controller with your adapter

It will be under Network Adapter in the Device Manager, hit "Windows key + X" to pull up the power menu and go to Device manager to find it. Also restart your computer and try different USB ports, you can also check for a Windows Update

For me the controller works fine, just having issues finding the Xbox Accessories App (which doesn't exist in the windows store and doesn't auto install) and getting my system/game audio to come through the headphones, they are selected as the default audio
    device!

In June, we announced the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows as part of our commitment for designing Xbox accessories to support both Xbox and Windows. Today, we’re excited to share that we’ve started to ship to retailers in most markets around the world, including the U.S.

With the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, you’ll simply plug the Adapter into the USB 2.0 or 3.0 port of your Windows 10 PC laptop or tablet and bind the Adapter to your Wireless Controller to enable the same gaming experience you’re used to on Xbox One, including in-game chat and high-quality stereo audio. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows accommodates up to eight controllers per unit, and up to four chat headsets or two stereo headsets.

If you haven’t had a chance to try game streaming just yet, check out these step-by-step instructions. And be sure to try some of this year’s blockbuster games with built-in controller support including Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, andFable Legends.

The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows will be available for $24.99 USD (MSRP) or bundled with an Xbox One Wireless Controller for $79.95 USD (MSRP).

  4. Xbox One Wireless Adapter, no Audio and Xbox Accessories App doesn't exist in the Windows ...

Hey there, Sam! The Xbox Accessories App releases on 10/27, when the Xbox Elite Controller releases. I understand that the steps say it should install already, but it won't install until it is available. Once that is out, give it a shot. If it's still not
working for you, post back so that we can look into it further. Xbox One Wireless Adapter, no Audio and Xbox Accessories App doesn't exist in the Windows ... :)

Xbox Adapter for Windows not connecting

    Hi PC,

Thanks for updating us with your reply! The smallish button that is on the front of the controller is the "bind" or "sync" button that is used to wirelessly connect the controller to your console or, in this case, your PC via the wireless adapter. You may
find the information contained in the following support articles helpful in troubleshooting any syncing issues you've been experiencing:

How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC

Set up the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows

Troubleshoot the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows

In regard to your other issue about one adapter working and the other giving you trouble, you may benefit from

performing a clean boot to your Windows 10 PC
    and then
running the app troubleshooter on your Xbox Accessories app
. This has a tendency to cure a few ills with things. You'll also want to ensure that your controller is updated and this may be done in the Xbox Accessories app while the controller is connected
to the PC on a wired connection (cannot be done via Bluetooth or other wireless connection). How to update your Xbox
    One Controller on Windows 10

Give the troubleshooting a try and please let us know the results.

I hope that this helps you out!

Can the X Box One Wireless Controller with Bluetooth also be used with the X Box One Wireless Adapter for Windows 10?

    Hi Beau,

Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to answer that.

The Xbox One Wireless controller with Bluetooth can be connected to a Windows 10 PC with a USB cable, Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, so yes, it can be connected via the adapter. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 is not
compatible with an Xbox 360 controller and will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. I'll provide the support articles with this information:

    I hope this helps!
