Xbox One Wireless Adapter (New Version) Doesn't work with Xbox Elite controller Windows 10

Hi

I recently bought an Xbox One Wireless adapter for the PC to connect my Xbox One elite controller to use wireless. Now, I have no issues with drivers and such with seems to be the common issue people ask about, I have my old broke Xbox One controller which
I can still power on and sync but its broke mechanically, it connects to the adapter no problem but the Elite controller doesn't.

I checked before buying the adapter that you need it in order to use the Elite controller Wireless on a PC, I have Windows 10 up to date and have installed the drivers for the device manually, like I said it works with the my old controller which I have
now replaced with an Elite controller but it just doesn't connect to the adapter, they just constantly flash which until the controller turns off.

I have also loaded the Xbox accessories and updated the Controller itself too, but no luck. It works wired but for £120 I at least want the luxury of playing wireless as well considering I got the adapter as well and I could do it on the normal controller.

2nd Xbox one controller with wireless adapter

I have two Xbox one controller and the wireless adapter. Both controller are updated and the driver of the adapter is updated too.

Both controllers find the wireless adapter but only the first works correctly. The second is detected as a controller but it doesn't work.

My PC is a Windows 10 64 bits.

Any idea?
