Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows has to be unplugged and replugged each time I wake my...

    Hello,

I'm having some odd trouble with my Xbox One Wireless Adapter not connecting my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller consistently.

When I first plugged it in, works fine, and stays connected, but the next day the controller just blinks as if searching.

I've found the only way to get this to work is to unplug the USB dongle each time and replug it in then they auto connect.

I believe its the USB Dongle and not the controller, because I notice that the light on the US won't illuminate during this time even if I press the pairing button.

All drivers are up to date on windows and the controller as well. When its connects, it works great with no issues, other than it being annoying to have to physically replug it every time.

    :)

XBOX ONE ADAPTER PROBLEM - ON WINDOWS 10

    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-on-windows/accessories/troubleshoot-xbox-wireless-adapter-for-windows

Try these tips from the link above:

If your adapter was installed and working, but it did not respond after waking your computer, this may be because your USB controller doesn't have Wake on Wireless turned on by default. This can typically be managed by the USB controller driver.

There are two solutions to this:

    1. While your Windows 10 device is running, unplug the device, and then plug it back in.
    2. If that didn't work, you can adjust the properties to enable Wake on Wireless. In the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Properties window, make sure to select
Allow the device to wake the computer. To do so, follow these steps:
      1. Go to your Device Manager.
      2. Select Wireless Adapter for Windows in the Network adapters section.
      3. Click Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to bring up the Properties window.
      4. Click the Power Management tab.
      5. Select Allow this device to wake the computer, and then select
        OK.

If the binding instructions are not working, try the following solutions:
      • Ensure you're within range (6 meters or less) of the adapter and it's in line of sight to the controller.
      • If you have an Xbox controller, try rebinding your controller to the console by pressing the Connect button on the console, and then the Connect button on the controller. The LEDs will flash and become solid when the binding is successful. If your controller
does bind, you have isolated the issue to the Wireless Adapter for Windows. If your controller does not bind to your console, see

Set up the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows
        .
      • Unplug your adapter, reboot your device, and then plug it back in (to another port if possible), and try again.

Xbox Wireless Adapter V2 having input lag and delay

Hello señor c, my name is Oskayra, and I will be happy to help you.

Beforehand, it is important that you keep in mind that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox. All users help each other with common problems.

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you, I did an internal search in Xbox support and found a publication, where it mentions a series of steps that you can try to make the wireless adapter work and I thought it was good information, What to share with you and what you should keep in mind:

If your controller frequently disconnects from the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, it is usually due to environmental issues, such as no line of sight between the controller and the adapter or a lot of interference from, for example, metal objects. Try these suggestions to improve the connection between your controller and the adapter:

Make sure you are within the optimal coverage of the adapter (6 meters or less).

Use the USB extender device to bring the adapter closer to the controller.

Make sure there is a good line of sight between the adapter and the controller. Use the USB extender device if necessary. For these two devices to communicate smoothly, there need to be as few obstacles as possible between them.

Move the adapter away from metal areas and do not place it directly on a metal surface.

If it doesn't work in the end, you can use the following steps:

If the adapter was installed and working, but is not responding after waking the computer from sleep mode, it may be because the USB controller does not have the option to wake it when connecting wirelessly by default. This is normally handled by the USB controller driver.

There are two solutions to this problem:

With your Windows device running, unplug the device and plug it back in.

If that doesn't work, you can adjust the properties to enable Wake on Wireless. In the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Properties window, make sure that Allow this device to wake up your computer is selected. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Device Manager.

    2. Select Network Adapters > Wireless Adapter for Windows.

    3. Select Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to bring up the Properties window.

    4. Select the Power Management tab.

    5. Select Allow this device to wake up the computer, and then select OK.
