Xbox One Wireless Adapter Audio issues Resolved (You must update the drivers)

    You must update the drivers:

    1. Hit "Windows key + X" on your keyboard to open the Power Menu, Select
      "Device Manager"
    2. Click "Network Adapter" to expand the menu and right-click
"Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows"
      > Update Driver Software >
Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software
    3. Make sure that "USB Audio Device" is selected for playback devices under sound settings. To the Left of the Date & Time in the windows task bar (bottom right corner of your screen) you will see a speaker icon, right-click and selected
"Playback Devices", then select Headphones (aka USB Audio Device). Hit
      ok

Once updated all the system and game audio will come through your compatible stereo headset.

It is 10am 27th of October - where is the promised driver and the promised Xbox Accessories App?

    "You must update the drivers:

Click "Network Adapter" to expand the menu and right-click "Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows" > Update Driver Software > Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software"

This fixed the audio issue I was having with the controller connected via the Wireless Adapter (it worked via USB but not wirelessly until I manually updated said network adapter driver). Thanks!

XB1 Wireless Controller Adapter Headset Issue.

This seemed to fix the audio issue I was having with the controller connected via the Wireless Adapter (it worked via USB but not wirelessly until I manually updated said network adapter driver).

"You must update the drivers (under Device Manager on Control Panel):

Click "Network Adapter" to expand the menu and right-click "Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows" > Update Driver Software > Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software

Make sure that "USB Audio Device" is selected for playback devices under sound settings. Next to the date & time in the windows task bar (bottom right corner of your screen) you will see a speaker icon, right-click and selected "Playback Devices",
then select Headphones (aka USB Audio Device). Hit ok

  6. Finally, it works with rumble ! I had the previous drivers without rumble installed. Here is what I did :

    1. Open your Device Manager

    2. Right click on the actual "Xbox One Wireless Adapter" and select "uninstall". On the next panel check the box "Delete the installed driver".

    3. Unplug/replug the Adapter. It will appear as "XBOX ACC".

    4. Right click on it, Select "Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software"

    5. Windows will (finally) find the lastest drivers, 20.x

Now you can launch a game, rumble and all functions work.
