Xbox one wired streaming to Windows 10 PC - Very stuttery and unplayable

    Per the subject line.

I connect my X1 to my PC via a wired connection in the same room. Regardless of the streaming quality I select the stream stutters and is absolutely unplayable. This issue happens randomly. Some streams it is fine, but most of the time it is not.

I have tried resetting the game I would like to play, resetting the console, restarting the Xbox app on W10, closing down programs on W10 (incase it was a memory issue) ... but the stuttering is still there.

I usually get jack of trying to fix the issue and shut down the console. Coming back to it to try streaming to W10 again sometimes is smooth and sometimes is still stuttery.

Is this a X1 issue ? are there other tests or things I can try to improve performance of the stream ?

    Cheers.

    :)

  2. Game streaming constantly crashes.

Even with wired connection from xbox one x to pc, the game streaming function always crashes. This happens no matter the game/computer/streaming quality/wired/wireless. The video will freeze but the audio and controls will work. The bottom says network issues,
then the stream crashes. It happens at random intervals. When it is steaming, it runs flawlessly even on very high, but the disconnects make games unplayable.

  3. Xbox One Game Streaming

Sorry if this is in the wrong topic. When I stream games from my Xbox One to my Windows 10 PC, it is DEFINITELY not 1080p. I have set my game streaming to very high, and I use wired internet. My connection is strong, however I still see
    ≤720p. Help please!

  5. Hey there wetwork M,

There's actually a thread going on over HERE with some folks who are also seeing the same issue over a Wired connection. They're seeing better luck when using Wireless to connect right now. Can you please check that and see if that's working for you as well?

If not, please check in on the other thread. We're in communications with the teams looking into this issue and are providing updates on that thread.

    Thanks so much!

Xbox One Streaming (how does it work in the background?)

Game streaming resolution when TV is off or on different input

Here's some additional details for Microsoft. I am using two xbox ones and a windows 10 pc:

    - an original model xbox one connected to a 1080p tv and a wireless AC network connection

    - an xbox one S connected to a 4K tv and wired networking

    - windows 10 pc with a 1080p monitor and wired networking

Game streaming works perfectly to the original model xbox one with a wireless connection. From my windows 10 PC I can turn on the console, start streaming, and the resolution is great.

With the xbox one S though, even though I have a wired network connection to both the PC and that xbox, I will only be able to stream in 640x480 resolution unless I turn on the TV before I try to stream. I can also report that if I do turn on the TV first
and begin streaming in 1080p, I can then turn off the TV without affecting my 1080p streaming until I turn the xbox off.

This appears to be a bug for our particular configuration, and it's not getting any attention from Microsoft because their streaming test cases are passing. It could be a difference of original model xbox vs. xbox one S, but I'm expecting it has something
to do with the 4K display settings on the xbox, HDCP, and/or trying to stream to a lower resolution of 1080p.
