Discus and support Xbox One Wired Controller in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Does Microsoft have any intention of putting out a wired controller?     Does Microsoft have any intention of putting out a wired controller? I am 95% hardwired at my house and I want to avoid having in that non-hardwired 5% a signal being beemed to my as well as my 9 y/o son's crotch as we play games.

    Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

    I am unaware if they will be releasing a hardwired controller. If you must play wired, I suggest purchasing a play and charge kit and just leaving the controller plugged in. www.xbox.com/.../play-and-charge-kit

    Thank you for your quick response Hardlycapable13. I knew about the plug and charge kit but the guy at local gamer store told me the signal was still running wireless and the wire was just for charging purposed. Was he incorrect?

    He was incorrect. Note the link in my second post. You can use the plug and charge cable even if the controller has no batteries.

    Thank you very much, hardlyCapable13. My goal is to minimize the risk of potentially sterilizing my kid through years of gaming and you have me resting a bit easier.

    There currently is no wired controllers for xbox one.

    The controllers we currently have run as if they are wired controllers when an Micro USB Cable gets plugged in.

    I like how the X1 one controller is both wireless and wired. Unplug the cable for wireless, plug in the cable for wired. No need to buy two controllers anymore, just one controller that converts to either.

    You would need to get a wired controller. You cannot plug in the controllers like Xbox one and have them become wired.
