    Xbox One Wired controller constantly bugging out on PC.


    I've had this thing for awhile and for no reason it refuses it work properly with certain games. It has worked properly with a 100% success rate with Dark souls 3 which tells me the hardware on both my PC and controller are working fine, but for other games
    it will randomly lose input. It doesn't actually disconnect as much is it stops inputting all together or will freeze on a certain button input like if I was holding one of the analogs sticks to the right at the time of it bugging out. It won't fix itself
    either unless I unplug it and plug it back in and will just do the same thing maybe 5 minutes later.

    Examples of this were Battlefield 4 which I couldn't get to work for more than 20 seconds.

    For honor which would cause it to disconnect every 15 minutes or so.

    And Sniper elite V2 which started out fine but then escalated to bugging every 10 seconds or so.

    Again, it's worked fine on other things so it can't be the hardware itself. Need some help figuring this out.

    Controller bugging out

    You could take it apart and try cleaning it. But, I don't recommend this as you could damage the controller more. I suggest you get a new controller from your local store or online.

    Recently, my controller's right stick hasn't been working right. It's always going down. For example, if I leave the controller alone in Destiny, my character will look straight down to the ground. This is becoming very tedious in some games. Is there a
    way to fix this or do I have to buy a new controller?

    Bluetooth bugs are well known on the PC and the Xbox, which is why many use a wired controller.

    I have several Bluetooth devices and the PC/Xbox platform has had issues for eons.

    The old Xbox 360 wireless controller needs a USB unit to connect but it has not been problematic. Go figure.

    Did you try updating the firmware on ur controller? I had this happen to two of my xbox elite controllers aswell one of them was a wolferine elite, it wont update firmware on xbox, or pc. They were wired, and it was the wire inpluck that was broken. Hope
    you figure it out, before warrenty runs out

    No that is not possible to connect a controller to your PC through your console. You will need the Xbox 360 wireless USB receiver for windows or buy a pure wired USB xbox 360 controller (microsoft and 3rd party ones available and all will work).

    The play and charge USB cable for xbox 360 controllers does not make a wireless controller wired as it only transfers power and not data.

    You could buy an xbox one wireless controller that is newer and has bluetooth and connect it to your PC directly as seen on this page: :

    You can also use an xbox one wireless controller of any type (with or without bluetooth) with a Micro USB cable on a PC as well. THAT wire does make the xbox one wireless controller act as a wired controller while connected via Micro USB.

    it's not a problem of the controller, it can be paired with the PC with no issue, unfortunately with the latest firmware is no more recognized as an Xbox controller when connectd using bluetooth

    In the joypad configuration panel when is wired connect it is reported as a "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)", when connected using bluetooth is reported as a generic "6-axis 16-buttons game pad with hat switch"

    With previous firmware version it was reported as "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)" for both (even when connected with bluetooth)

    It's a firmware bug
