XBOX One Wired Controller Bumper Issues

So this is the second controller I've got that's had this issue. I got a replacement after the first one developed the issue after about a month, and now this one is having the same problem after about a month and a half.

The right bumper is failing. It doesn't stick, but the input is occasionally not registered. At the moment it's maybe one out of 20-30 presses (tested in the controller wizard), but from experience with the last controller it will start to fail more often before
finally giving out entirely. Some extra life can be found by pressing harder on the bumper so it 'registers' the press, but even this fails eventually.

Now I probably abuse this button more than most, since it's used a great deal (usually pressing consistently, not just tapping) while I'm playing Rocket League, but 1-2 month failure is inexcusable. It's starting to seem more sensible to switch to a DS4 than
get yet another replacement that will undoubtedly fail the same way.

Posting here as a sort of last ditch effort. Is there any way I can obtain a better built version of the X1 controller? I heard that the controllers that shipped with consoles were built more robustly. Anyway, open to suggestions, but I'm pretty sure the
X1 controller is a lost cause to me by this point.

    :)

    Uncomfortable pad?

Not had any issues like the OP.
Never had an issue on 360 or now the Xbox One.
Only Controller I had issues with was the DS3.

I much prefered the 360 pad over the X1 but after using it more and more going back to the 360 pad just feels weird. The X1 controller is excellent once you get used to it and the new bumpers and triggers.

    Difference between Xbox One Controllers

All Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X controllers will work with any console and any PC.
The differences between the 1st gen controller and the later controllers is the 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom.
Xbox controller for windows simply means the controller ships with the long use cable.
Xbox One S and Xbox One X controllers use a better wifi radio( should have less connection issues), they also have the blue tooth connection ability for PC.
Xbox One S and later controllers have a revised shoulder bumper to prevent hard to press shoulder buttons.

    XBox Elite controller bumper issues

The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.

    Xbox no signal issues

Have you tried syncing that controller to xbox, it is the button right above where you plug your wired controllers into. When you hit the sync button on the console you have to hit the sync button on the controller it is between the right and left bumpers.

    Problems I'm having

    Dre,

I'm with Jonas on this one. Controller issues have caused this for me, the right bumper on one of my controllers is a bit soft and i have to press it really hard to get it to work. It's very subtle but there is no click when I press it now (as with the left
bumper which works fine). I use another controller now and no issues yet.

    Good luck sir.
