Xbox One will turn on but not get pass the opening screen.

Thank you for trying to help fix my problem but it is still happening, even after the soft reset. I turn on the xbox, and I get a green screen and the xbox logo, then I turn on my controller and eventually get the pass code screen. After I put in my pass
code I choose the game I want to play (minecraft) and then the screen goes to a white screen with minecraft printed on it and bouncing gray boxes as it loads. Then the screen shows a village and a box that says it may take a minute to synchronize and within
seconds my screen turns black. I still get the sounds coming through and it sounds like the controller is still working but I cannot tell what I am doing because the screen is black. Please help me, my grandson is so disappointed. He has autism and minecraft
is one of the few things that he finds very enjoyable.

What do you mean it opens at your home screen and then nothing? Are you stuck on the dashboard or is it a black or green screen?

If you are stuck on a black or green screen you can try the offline diagnostic tool that has helped people get passed the blank screen before:

My problem is similar.........starts to load...Taptiles screen, turns to Meditation screen, closes back to opening account screen. Any ideas how to get back to Taptiles?

I found a solution for the TC8305C gateway from Comcast.

I turned off the firewall on the gateway.

Turned off upnp. Reset gateway. Turned it back on.

Now the key part: Turn on the Xbox one by pushing the power button for five seconds. You will get the green splash screen and it will sit there for a minute (like it is being started for the first time).

Your NAT should now be open.
