    XBOX ONE will not work.

My Xbox One will receive power but in won't boot up. The light on the console is on but the lights on the kinect won't turn on and my tv will not even recognize that there is anything hooked up in the HDMI port. I have done absolutely everything i can think
of short or replacing the whole thing. I've tried every suggestion i could find in the support section and i'm at a loss for what to do now. Lucky i bought the 1 year warranty but id rather not do that if i don't have to because i don't want to waste all that
time trying to re-download all my games and add-ons.

    :)

Sorry to hear that your console is not working. If you cannot return it to the store, please visit
http://myservice.xbox.com and register your console. From there you can set up a repair

    Hey there ShadowAckers!

Sorry to hear about booting issues. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 5 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Power on your console to see if your console is recognized by your TV.
    • If the issue continues, try using a different HDMI cable if possible.

Give the suggested steps a shot and let us know if you are still experiencing the same issue.

I have quite literally tried everything i have found online short of ripping it apart or throwing the thing out my third story window onto the concrete below. The only thing this console is good for right now is a $500 paperweight that lights up every now
    and then.

Hey, if you are having issues with a black screen, two things you can try

    1) Try a hard reset....Turn off your console, unplug your console, place your finger on the power button or 30 seconds, plug everything back in, and turn on console

    If that doesn't work

    2) You will need to perform an offline update. Here is the link to do it:
    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool
. Might want to download the OSUDT 2 file. Make sure you are fully disconnected from the internet when plugging it into your console. Please respond to this thread if you are still having troubles
    with it afterwards

At this point, it looks like it has an update error. With this you want to set up a repair. You can do this 1 of 2 ways.

    1) Go to myservice.xbox.com and set up the repair there

    2) Call 1-800-4-MyXbox, and set up a repair with an agent

I powered up my xbox a short time ago (after not using it for a few months), and saw the needs update message. I clicked on the X to get it going and walked away. When I came back a short time later, I find my TV flashing No Signal. It was working just fine
before. All power lights are showing white, so the xbox is on. Have left it on for about an hour now, thinking maybe the update is running in the background. However, I think the update simply crashed my box.

    XBOX ONE will not work.

Wanted to update my status. I tried a few fixes, and then followed Spyroman12's fix again: "Try a hard reset....Turn off your console, unplug your console, place your finger on the power button or 30 seconds, plug everything back in, and turn on console."

My box is up and running again.

I posted my update way too soon. After playing my game for about 15 minutes, I heard a loud noise from my speakers and the TV went to black screen again.

Firstly, If you are in the Xbox Insiders preview program you CANT use offline system updates (OSU).

If you are using WiFi to connect to your router/gateway try a wired ethernet cable connection.

Power cycle your router and wait till its fully functional before turning the console back on. The update should continue to complete as well as reboot.

Have patience when it reboots and it should return to your Home screen and/or controller passkey input screen.
