    Xbox One will not update, odd error code


    My Xbox one will not update. It goes through the normal process then jumps from 9 to 15 percent. One there it jumps to the There was a problem with the update screen. I followed the directions on the support website and found the error code. The error code
    is

    0x80070003 0x00000000 0x90000005

    According to the support website this error code has something to do with downloading your Xbox Live profile. The website gives four steps. I did not need to clear space on my hard drive as I still have nearly 700 GB of free space. I then deleted my profile
    off the Xbox One with the intention of downloading it again later. I then cleared the system cache. The instructions on the support website for this step seem to be out of date as I could not follow them. To clear the cache I held the start button for 10 seconds
    and let the console turn off. I then unplugged it for two minutes. The last step on the support website is to download your profile again but I could not do this since my console won't update.

    With these steps taken I tried the update again but the same problem happened again and I got the same error code. I'm now kind of stuck. Can anyone tell me whats going on? Any help would be appreciated.

    XB1 failing to update

    If it won't update return it. Are you waiting long enough? Does it give you an error code? If you get an error code post it, if you aren't getting one wait longer.

    XBOX 1 Update Freezes

    1. Go to the Xbox One System Update Solution.
    2. SelectI am getting an error message or an error code.
    3. SelectI am getting an error code.
    4. Scroll down the screen and selectE100 XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX.
    5. Follow the instructions in Step 4 to successfully update your console.
    Since the update froze at 52%, the step 4 was not made available to do the OSU1 or OSU2 update.

    The only way the update completed upon restart was as I said above.

    This tells me that the XBox OS is NOT hardware "Plug And Play" compatible.

    Many other web sites say that the only way for a replacement ODD/DVD drive to work was to put the original drive controller board into the replacement unit.

    There are no support articles for that error code on the xbox support site. Very odd.

    Hi, I think this is because you do not have a valid payment card associated with your live account. If you add a card or paypal account the free trial code should then be accepted. I'd also check that auto renewal is off unless you wish to carry on with
    live automatically. You can check this in the my account section from the xbox.com pages.

    It was an update that was getting the error so i cleared the cash then it updated, it was odd getting that error for an update?

    Odd. I only know that error code for the windows update error code. Which usually occurs because of your lack of permission. (ACCESS DENIED is really what it means) Also, the browser may not be powerful enough for the site you are trying to stream on.
