    Xbox one will not turn on after power cut!


    This evening I had a brief power cut. Since then my xbox wont turn on.

    I have tried the power reset by unplugging everything for more than 10 seconds... but still nothing! The orange light on power supply is on but when I push the on button all I get is a very faint blip and nothing else!

    Please help!

    Power cut... Now xbox one WILL NOT TURN ON!

    We had a power cut and then the xbox one stopped working. It's completely dead, no lights on, no way of turning it on. Has anyone else experienced this? If this doesn't work I will NEVER buy and xbox again. Surely such an expensive item doesn't get effected
    by electricity going off. It wasn't even on at the time!

    Power cut... Now xbox one WILL NOT TURN ON!

    Electronics can have a safety lockout. This lockup is cleared by its removing power cord for a few seconds.

    All electronics have surge protection. Long before the PC existed, industry standards defined it as 600 volts for 120 volt appliances. Today's appliances are often more robust.

    An adjacent power strip protector can compromise (bypass) this protection.

    Xbox one will not turn on after power cut!

    It is possible that the power brick is damaged, but try this:

    1. Unplug the brick from its power supply from the wall.

    2. Unplug the brick from the console.

    3. Push the power button on the console about 3-4 times to pull everything from the system.

    Hopefully by doing that, it will reset the brick.

    Hi, thanks I have tried this but still not working. Does anyone know how long the warranty is on xbox one? I've had it 1 year and 4 weeks!

    This has happened to me a couple of times, and all I do is unplug the cord that connects the power brick and the console from the brick itself, then it turns back on for me. But this will likely yield the same outcome as GrinningBeards suggestion. Couldn't
    help to try though.
