Xbox one will not take discs

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
the results. If that doesn't work you will probably need to contact support directly and set your console up for repair. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

Hello, if you take the Xbox offline do those disc based games then work ok ?

I sometimes have issues with disc based games not loading and what I tend to do is pop the disc into the drive but gently hold the disc preventing the drive from taking the disc in for just a second and then let go of the disc.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with ejecting a disc from your console.

If you are unable to remove that disc via normal means, I would have to suggest that you manually eject that disc. This will require you to have a small apparatus in hand, but it should be too difficult to acquire.

To be honest mate I've always kept a disc in on the xbox 360 and on the xbox one without any problem's maybe take the disc out if you are moving the xbox ?

Ok no that won’t help I have found a few things to try apparently this Is an issue with a lot of Xbox ones

hold the disc to the disk tray until you hear the Xbox trying to take the disc and as soon as you hear let the Xbox take the disc after a Second
