    Starting a few weeks ago after having been shut off for several weeks where my Xbox was not used, I attempted to power on my console. Pressing the power button caused it to beep with the power-on noise and the power button and power supply LED lit up, then
    immediately shut off within approximately 1 second. I suspected perhaps a failed power supply, so I ordered a replacement power supply. The system behaves exactly the same with the replacement power supply.

    A disk was in the drive, so I attempted to eject it. Using the eject buttons would exhibit the same behavior, turn on and then immediate turn off. I ultimately ejected the disk by manually ejecting it.

    I tried putting a disk back in the drive, the system will attempt to power on but will not stay on long enough to take in the disk.

    I tried holding the power button for 10-15 seconds, double tapping the power button, and holding the pairing, eject, and power buttons simultaneously based on various advice. None had an effect on the behavior. I tried plugging both new and old power supplies
    into the wall, bypassing the surge protector, still no luck.

    Is there anything left for me to try or should I write off my console?

    Gen. 1 500GB console with Kinect.

    I forgot, I am trying most of this with nothing (no Ethernet, HDMI, or Kinect) plugged into the device.

    Orange light?

    I recently came home, upon trying to start my xbox my controller flashed and console made no noise. I pushed the button no noise. I noticed the light on the power supply was off. I unplugged it from my xbox and the wall. Waited 5
    minutes and plugged in back into the wall. The power supply light was orange and stayed orange until I plugged it back on the xbox box then it immediately shut off. Still will not start up.

    Xbox one powers on then off immediately

    When i power on the Xbox One system it makes the chime noise and power button in the front lights up like it’s suppose to then shuts off immediately within 2-4 seconds, I called GameStop they recommended a new power supply brick so I purchased one it did
    not fix the problem. Ive read a lot of threads on the same issue. Is it something I can repair or replace or is the system shot?

    Hi,

    its not working when I hold the BIND that's on the right for me and then the EJECT button that's on the left it make a duhhh noise is the best way to describe it then I click to Xbox power button and it starts up like normal and also makes the startup noise
    then the xbox light is lit for 3 or 4 secs and makes a shut down noise and then the light goes off. To be honest to me its like the xbox turn on as normal but doesn't know what to think or boot and it protocol is just to shut down it seems to not know the
    command for the factory reset menu.... if I just click EJECT it will act normal like its ejecting a disk and the xbox light is lit and then goes off

    Also someone said on a forum that if the Xbox HDMI is not plugged in it will just shut down is this true.

    And no matter what if I click the power button it will always power up and do the same thing am just trying to rule out it its a power supply issue.

    Disconnect the hard drive

    try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation loading
    screen when you power it back up. then connect back i hope that help

    but if you here a clinking noise maybe you're drive is damage.

    Good morning try hold down the Power button on the front of the console approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off, then power on. Be sure you see the green xbox one animación loading screen then you power it back up.

    This troubleshooting guide is the last thing to read before it tells you to send your hardware in for repair. Follow the guide and determine which is
    really at fault: the console, or power supply unit. Determining which is at fault should help with your repair order, as you can only send either the console itself or the power supply.

    There's not much else to tell you here if you still can't get the Xbox to turn on. Seems your only available options are to pay for the repair, or get a brand new console.
