Xbox One will NOT let me use turtle beach to chat

my xbox one will not let me use my turtle beaches to chat. I can hear the game and hear other people but the mic does not pic of my voice

I have tried a different controller, different headset, different headset adapter microsofts and turtle beaches

but it lets me use the default headset to chat? so it's not the controller

I have updated the controllers

EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED! which is why i get sound and can hear chat

Xbox One Headset Adapter

Godless what worked for me is I had to use the Xbox adapter that came with the Steelseries headset with the adapter. The turtle beach chat cable does not work with the steelseries. It works fine with my px5 connected to the adapted but for some reason
the turtle beach chat cable doesnt work with steelseries h wireless.

Totally Wireless Headset Ever?

Anyone know if there is any plans for a heaset that doesn't require a chat wire? I have Turtle Beach XP 500‘s and from what I've read the puck may not work with the xbox one chat adapter. I would like wireless chat. If I cannot use my Turtle Beach for
wireless chat, Maybe someone can give me another headset with wireless chat. I don't want to use connect for chat.

hi just to check with the turtle beach XO ONE model the mic can be removed when you get the headset out of the box have you inserted the microphone correctly? please make sure it is fully plugged in the headset. and if that does not work please have the
headset plugged into the controller then try updating the controller again i had those problems.

first my mic was not plugged in then i had to update now it works for me.

My turtle beach can plug in using optical out thing, but yuh chat not compatible unless they release a convertor. You could use it for game audio because don't want to disturb your family or neighbours, and just use the Kinect sensor to chat. I've seen Turtle
beach headsets for Xbox One but they don't come out until early next year.

CONFIRMED. It's Friday evening for NZ and Australia, I'm on Xbox 360, and the Turtle Beach 500x WORKS ON XBOX 360. Game sound wireless but for chat, you need a chat cable (I'm using the one which I have for my turtle beach x42). Sound and bass is deep. I
have yet to try it on Xbox One. Chat works on Xbox 360 too! I'm chatting with friends in a party on 360.

iread it would work the same like if you have turtle beaches or astros but chat won't work because they've chaged the chat adapter.

Right now certain current gen models of Turtle Beach headsets will work, you just cannot chat through them. If you go on Turtle Beach website it will give you a complete list of headsets that are compatible. Also, if you own or buy one of these headsets,
I believe that TB will upgrade your chat adapter for free when it is released early next year.
