xbox one will not finish downloads while in sleep mode

and really starting to *** me off ,example started EVOLVE download last night at 8pm UK time put the xbox into instant on and turned off , hard drive light flashing away so its doing something wake up this morning and again another game just sat at 16% all
*** night .anyone else having probs like this before i take a *** hammer to the peace of crap

forza 5 update background download

hello if I install forza5 via disc offline then reconnect to internet and put the Xbox one into sleep mode

will it update forza 5 while in sleep mode ty if anyone able help with info

 

XB One not downloading games when powered off after update to W10.

Im trying to download the new BO3 on my XB1 but do so while trying to get some sleep. So I want to downloaden the game while Its on standby mode but it's not working. In settings the option is on though. any suggestions?

 

I don't much care for your use of language and quite frankly coming from a fellow ambassador it's disheartening, but I'll try help you out all the same.

Firstly, When you set your 'piece of crap' up to instantly turn on did you also make sure the 'Automatically download updates and purchases' box under Power & Start up was ticked?

 

firstly i gave up on that ages ago 2nd when you have had constant problems since day one with a machine that has cost me £1400+ so far, so i have got every right to be frustrated . all settings are correct the xbox has been wiped 3 times , its had the
data wiped from blue ray side , the only thing i do notice is when turned bk on the downloads have !STOPPED marked on them . ive done every support step and still 24 hours of constant on EVOLVE has got to 18% lol ,

 

Then this perhaps might be a connection issue regarding the download. Probable cause is that your internet might not be gas enough to download. Then again, it should have download some of the ways after you turned it off.

Have you ever considered that your console is defective all this time, judging by the dark history you explained? With your warranty you can get one that works for you. So before you take out onto the world and beat your so called 'peace of crap' just get
a new one, or turn it in for repairs.

Sorry if it is not working, that really is frustrating. But just consider your options before voiding your warranty.

 

The customer service at Microsoft really sucks. I've been a loyal xbox customer since the launch of the original xbox. I've had many issues before and was resolved fairly easy but my latest interaction with customer service was by far the worst. First of
all they want to put a $400 dollar hold on your card for an issue that is clearly a factory defect. Next you have customer service representative that speak to you in a facetious manner rushing me off the phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor that wasn't
any help either. I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE RATHER PAY THE EXTRA MONEY GO TO PLAY STATION.

 

there does seem to be a problem ive checked internet details one the xbox one and its only receiving 3.mb i only have 8mb due to where i live but i have all this gen and last consoles and all receive good speed for my net speed yet the xbox one isnt getting
anything hard wired or wifi , the ps4 , wii u , 360 and ps3 all download 1gb very quick ,my router isnt to blame all settings are spot on ,my nets not to blame as Z consoles working and download fine so has to be the xbox itself yet i cant find anything that
could cause this and im very tech minded and no my way around

 

What router do you have? and am I wright in assuming you've forwarded all ports needed by your Xbox One? UPnP on? DMZ? If so, have you tried a different DNS server? Maybe the one you're using now the Xbox One doesn't like. I'd try open or google.

 

im using a netgear router there top edition for this year , all ports are correct and UPNP ect ,ive gone over and over the settings ,changed to directly running from the main broadband plug , but still seems to be throttling itself,really dont want to factory
reset again lol takes weeks to install all the games and update

 

Hmmm, it might seem an odd thing to try being that wired is normally the best route to take for stability but, have you given wireless a shot instead of wired?
