1. Xbox One Will Not Display on 1080p

I have owned my xbox one for about 8 months and have never had a problem until yesterday. My son bought a Roku TV which is 780p and hooked the xbox one to it and it worked fine. However, when i tried to hook it back to my 1080p LED tv it doesnt display anything.
I can only assume that my son's tv somehow reformatted it but i dont understand how.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

:)

The Xbox One can only output at 720p and 1080p. If you TV does not support 1080p then it will only display at 720p from the Xbox One, as the Xbox One does not output 1080i at this time.

1080p 60FPS Game DVR record option for Xbox One X

At this time of posting you can only get 60FPS @ 4K but not @1080p on Xbox One X. I use my Xbox One X on my 1080p display. An option for 60FPS @1080p would be great and maybe even option to increase bit rate.

Xbox One Will Not Display on 1080p

People help the council! Xbox One S - starts only in 640 x 480 mode. All tried, at home three telecoms all 4K UHD, on one does not want to translate a signal 640 x 480 in 4K or 1080P. - the write action did not work (in the image setup menu). Restart two
buttons "Xbox" and "Eject" for 10 seconds did - does not help! Cables HDMI changed - a sense of zero. Auto detection - in additional settings it costs. Resetting the settings to the factory did not help. OSU1 - stitched - did not help.

I have exactly the same problem with the XBOX ONE S console. The console issues a resolution on two of my 4K TVs, only 640x480. Prior to this, the console on these TVs showed an image in 4K resolution. Resetting video tastes and full reset of the console
with the firmware did not help! Such a feeling that the console blocked the signal! Help your advice! Thank you !

720p or 1080p or 1080i
1080p will display 1080 pixels at once time

720p will display 720 pixels at one time

1080i ONLY DISPLAYS 540 pixels at one time

1080p is Best, 720p SHOULD look better than 1080i and 1080i is worst...
You've actually got your 1080i and 1080p backwards as far as the pixels at a time. 1080i displays full frames at ~30 fps. 1080p displays 1/2 frames, where each frame's pixels are either even or odd and they alternate, at ~60 fps. 1080p is the best, hands
down. But it is the one that only displays 540 px at once.

The Xbox One can only output at 720p and 1080p. If you TV does not support 1080p then it will only display at 720p from the Xbox One, as the Xbox One does not output 1080i at this time.

Xbox one not displaying in 1080P

I forgot to mention something. I also tried hooking up my One to the TV in my living room (which is also a 42' capable of displaying 1080P) and it still would not display in 1080P even on that TV, which is less than a month old. I went in and tried to change
the settings to 720P and then back to 1080P but nothing changed at all.

Xbox one not displaying in 1080P

Yeah I use the HDMI 1 port for my 360 and it gives me 1080P, but when I plug my One into that same port it only displays 720P. I even tried using the HDMI cable I use on my 360 and it only displays 720P on my One.
