Xbox One will not connect to TV

    Xbox One will not connect to TV


    The light on the front of the Xbox is lit up white, so I know it's not a power issue. And I have tried multiple HDMI cords and ports, so I honestly don't know where the issue is. I have reset and unplugged it multiple times, and left it sitting unplugged
    for hours, but still nothing. I simply recieve a no signal error message. Any help is appreciated.

    Xbox One will not connect to TV

    Hello

    First of all can you make sure you connected your Xbox One to the TV via the
    HDMI OUT     port instead of the HDMI IN

    connecting it to the HDMI IN port does not give you any picture since it's used as a pass through for other devices. So make sure that is connected properly first.

    If you still have issues with having no picture please try the following

    1. If there’s a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
    2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.
    3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

      Note This will boot your console in a low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset these settings again, press the
      Menu button, select Settings, and then select Display & sound.

    Which Xbox One is it? The original or the new Xbox One S?

    Could you try the following?

    • Try connecting your Xbox One to another TV is possible.
    • Try using another HDMI to connect from the Xbox One to the TV. This may see if it's your console or the HDMI cord you're using is bad.
    • Connect the HDMI to another port of your TV (HDMI 1, HDMI 2).

    Unfortunately there is no way to connect the internal Receiver of the TV to the Xbox One for TV functions,

    The HDMI IN on the Xbox One is designed to work with Satellite or Cable TV which involves having a separate box that normally connects to the TV with an HDMI cable.

    The wired or wireless connection is handled through your router, not the Samsung Smart TV. Samsung Smart TV has nothing to do with Xbox One. Connect the Xbox One directly to your wireless or wired router, not your Samsung Smart TV.

    On some TVs, if an HDMI-connected device is causing a shrunken output, there should be a TV setting that adjusts "overscan", which adjusts the size of the output on the screen.
