    Xbox One will no longer boot up.


    Hey, so I know this might not technically be an "insider" issue, but I couldn't think of a better place to try and discuss this issue.
    So, my OG Xbox One will no longer boot up. When I attempt to power it on, the button lights up for about 30ish seconds before it shuts itself off. Prior to this, the power to the console was cut off unexpectedly so I assume that is what caused the issue. Does anyone have any suggestions and or places you could point me towards for help?

    Games won't play

    Try a hard reboot this can be done by holding the xbox one power button for a long period of time (can’t remember the exact) upon booting up again the xbox should take considerably longer to boot.

    OK, whatever the issue was before, it is no longer one now. I got home and booted up the xbox and it deleted no problem. I'm gonna chalk it up to connection issues.

    Xbox One shouldn't take any longer than it takes Xbox 360 Slim to boot up or shutdown. It uses a better CPU even though the clock speed is 1.75Ghz.

    If you are using the 'Fast Boot' functionality on your Xbox One, I'd suggest changing this to 'Economy mode' from within the settings on the console.

    I've seen a number of posts and experienced issues myself with this Fast boot mode, IMO it still needs some refining. Ever since changing to Economy mode, it takes a little longer to boot up but most of the issues with syncing and game performance is gone.

    G'day tthekinged! What power settings do you have enabled on your console? If your power mode is set to Energy-saving, then the console will take longer to start up (as you describe) than if it is set to Instant-On.
