Xbox one wifi restricts usage of gold

Hey guys,

I have a weird problem and I am really unsure if it's the Xbox itself or perhaps how my router and Xbox ports are working. Anyways my major issue with wifi is that when I try to use extra features such as friends list or certain apps it will say not available
at this time or give any other random message. These things always work with wired connection (I dragged a cable down the hallway). Any idea why I can't get the same experience with my wifi? Honestly wifi is my only option really and it really sucks because
I never know what will work and wont. The thing is... games ALWAYS work. But sometimes on wifi it's hard to connect to friends in game when I can't load the friends list (not that I can't find them in game but it won't let me connect with them when I do).
Any light you can she'd on this issue would be great guys. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

As the owner of the account you are ultimately responsible for how the account is used and the way you share your personal data.

If you wish to restrict usage of your account you can set up a passkey on Xbox 360 or Xbox One. And thanks to the benefits of Home Gold, it’s easier than ever for every member of the household to create their own Xbox Live account!

What kind of signal strength do you have with your Wifi? If you go to your consoles Network setup in Settings you should see the number of bars your Wifi has.

If you have a weak connection it could be that friends etc is just timing out because the signal drops or is too weak to be stable.

Another option outside of Wifi and running a cable through your place is Home Hub which uses your places electricity wiring as a network route, like these -

Or a Wifi booster.

They either remain a free member but put up with usage restrictions, share a single Gold account (which is technically against the Terms of Use) or pay for a Gold membership of their own.

However you have a fourth option, the Gold Family pack. This offers four Gold membership at a reduced cost

Your only solution here is a license transfer, and this is not something that can be done once every year, it's something that can be done once every 4 months. There's no way to "delete" a free purchase or be able to purchase a free game twice on multiple
consoles.

Microsoft's DRM has always worked this way since the beginning of Xbox LIVE on the Xbox 360. You have two consoles, that's awesome, you can play online/offline as well as anyone on the console can play on the console that originally purchased the game. Console
B would have to have the account that's purchased the game logged into Xbox LIVE in order to be able to play it, and only that profile can play it.

If you wish for Console B to be the one that has access to the game online/offline and all profiles to be able to play that game then you will need to do a license transfer found
here.
