    Xbox One Wifi Extender Problem

    Xbox One Wifi Extender Problem
I have a wifi extender and I have connected it to the Xbox One so that I can use a wired connection as opposed to wifi connection.

However, I launched a game that has online and the game says that I need to be signed in to Xbox Live, can anyone help?

    :)

Constant disconnecting and reconnecting from Xbox Live

extending routers may be a problem , I would first try it wired to see if its a wifi problem or not ...

Xbox One X dropping IPv6 Connection.

5ghz signals are known to reach shorter distances. So now I know you're using wifi, you need to close that gap or rather extend the reach. A wifi extender will help with that or a mesh system as mentioned before.
Distance and the more walls the signal has to go through effect wifi strength.
Ill try testing the connection with my Xbox moved closer to the router to see if that's the problem. Thanks for the tip!

Connect Xbox one by Ethernet cable

Its also possible to get a wifi extender, that has network ports on it, and connect the extender to your router, then the extender via hardwire to your xbox.

can't connect to wifi, but only a particular router

If anyone else hits this problem this is how I got it working again... I logged into my wireless router and switched it from WPA2 to WPA (AES), then reset the wifi extender and reconnected the xbox to the extender. Now it works. I've seen other people mention
trouble connecting to WPA2 secured wifi with xbox so this might help you. On a side note.. why the heck is the xbox (which is really just a computer) so much harder to get connected to a wifi network than every other device in existance?
