Xbox One Wi-Fi password incorrect but it is not

Hello! I was trying to reconnect to my Internet (i have been connected to it before) and know my Xbox says it's incorrect password but it is not. I contacted xbox support and they told me to do a full power cycle and clean mac adress so I did. It worked
for about two min then the i got disconnected and the same problem occurred. Anyone else have this problem and know a solution? Shall I reset my wifi settings or something?

If you are attempting to connect to wi-fi, you need the password for that wi-fi. If you are trying to connect to wi-fi that is not password protected, you need to have access to the modem itself, as you need to reset the modem or the xbox will not recognize
it.

 

Does X-box need a firewall for net play?

No need xbox is safe and people cannot steal your Wi-Fi password via xbox.

 

I'd just like to add that I'm having the same problem at the moment. My Xbox 360 console connects just fine as well as my brother's and our laptop and other devices, but not the Xbox One. I don't understand why it says the password is incorrect when it is
CLEARLY NOT. It's so frustrating.

have you try to disconect the kinect kamera? i know it's sounds stupid but last week it works...

Sounds good that Im not the only one! Unfortunately I don't have a kinect so I can´t try that solution. I have also not been home so i haven´t had the time to find any solution but will be glad if anyone here comes up with one. I´ll be in touch

 

I have exactly this problem - ever since 1st Nov. I'm on the preview programme. Driving me nuts. I've been waiting patiently for xbone support to rectify, hard resetting every mow and again but had no joy. Someone help????

Sorry to hear about the password issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. First, if you are participating in the Preview Program, then you will need to make a post in the Preview
Forums. This way the proper folks can address the issue. If you are not participating in the Preview Program, please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Unplug the power cord to your router, modem or gateway.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console, modem, router or gateway.
• Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues.

Give the suggested steps a try and let us know how it goes!

 

Hi Everyone!

I came here to report that my problem is solved. The problem was my network repeater which had some issues. I simply unplugged it and waited for a few minutes and then it worked. So if you have a network repeater in your house try to unplug it and then plug
it in again and then it should work. If not try Mister Quimbys solution.
