    Xbox One Wi-Fi dead

So before Xmas, I bought my daughter a second hand Xbox One. At first everything ent well; it found and connected to our Wi-Fi, downloaded my live profile and hers too; it downloaded the games she wanted and was doing generally well with things like game
    updates and the normal stuff.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and something happened.

She said that she couldn’t play her Xbox 360 games as it couldn’t log in to her profile.

I decided to take a look and figured out it had dropped the connection to our Wi-Fi.

I went through the normal troubleshooting points as follows but to no avail:

Hard reset of Xbox One, hard reset of router, opening/forwarding of ports, UPnP off then on.

Following that, I did some tests on the console which is where things became strange.

It was showing it was “connected to the internet” but NAT was strict; and neither speed nor multiplayer tests could be completed and beyond all that, it could not find any Wi-Fi signals, not a single one.

So I went online looking through forums and other people’s questions.

From this, I found advice on and tried the following, again, to no avail:

Plugging the console directly into the wall rather than an extension bar, mutiple power cycles, leaving it unplugged for 10 mins, soft reset (keeping games and data) then connecting via ethernet to “flush” any stuck updates through, then the dreaded hard
reset (deleting everything) and connecting via ethernet to complete all required updates.

So my question is: is it time to replace the wireless card? Or would the console show an error if there was an issue with the wireless card?

    :)

    Is my Xbox One defective?

@Your Dead McFly I am using Wi-fi for my Xbox One, due to location in the house issues.

    Hello T4E M,

Depending on where you've bought the xbox you may need to get a new network card. If you would not like to spend the money doing that - try an ethernet cord or buying a wireless network adapter for the xbox.

    Xbox One 5Ghz slow performance

    The Xbox One built in Wi-Fi chipset doesn't support 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6).

WPA3 has nothing to do with 802.11ax standard.

Xbox series s unplayable due to lagging

If that worked would that prove that the Wi-Fi receiver in the Xbox is at fault ?

As my Xbox series x and Xbox one connect and play perfectly online via the same Wi-Fi

Instead of headset adapter I would rather buy a controller with bluetooth built in.
