Xbox one Wi-Fi connection

When I went to the network settings to type my Wi-Fi password, MY Xbox one shut off a few seconds later then booted back up without with out it connected. How do I fix this. And wired works. I want to get Wi-Fi to work

Xbox Live and hotel Wi-Fi via Ethernet?

I need to find a way to connect my Xbox 360 to the Wi-Fi at hotels, considering I go to one almost every month. I have a game review due by thursday and I need to get this internet working. The issue is, hotels usually take you to a website where you have to log in on a website to connect to the Wi-Fi. This makes the Xbox Live connection impossible if you're doing it through Wi-Fi....

But what if I logged into the Wi-Fi on my laptop and connected my Xbox 360 to the laptop via Ethernet Cable. I have Windows 7 so I'm guessing there's some Microsoft internet sharing option that's compatible with other Microsoft products.... right?

If is comcast its a known issue. You need to use a wired connection for now. Comcast even issues a bulletin about it:

Try to restore console to factory settings and try again

 

Lonefly007 this is a known issue for some after the last update. None of the standard troubleshooting techniques have been successful. However, the work around to get your console back operational is to connect it to your network wired. That seems to
have been successful at least in majority of cases. All the ones that have tried it and reported back that I am aware of have been successful.

If you decide to try the factory reset let us know your results.
