Xbox one White Elite Controller Issue

I am having some minor issues with my new elite controller. I recently bought the white edition xbox one x and the new official white elite controller.

I have connected it to the xbox one x and also added the chatpad from my previous elite controller. for the first 2 days it worked perfectly the chatpad worked fine.

Now however only a week after purchase I have run into some minor issues.

Even though my controller is paired with Xbox One X, I can't turn on the xbox remotely from the controllers home button, when I turn off the xbox remotely the controller doesn't turn itself off, and although the chatpad is inserted correctly the chatpad
doesn't type, the keys light up and register that I have pushed buttons but nothing ever actually types into messages.

Can someone please help I have tried the microsoft support live chat and its sending me around in circles not helping. I have updated the controller and the chatpad to their most current firmware.

Elite controller low level white noise

I recently purchased an Xbox one elite controller and noticed that it has a low level white noise hiss through the 3.5mm port to a set of earbuds, even with the headphone volume turned all the way down on the dashboard. My white Xbox one S wireless controller
does not have the same issue. There is no low level white noise in the white controller through its 3.5mm jack.

Note, this is NOT the microphone white noise issue that occurs with some headsets.
