    Xbox One went into standby mode over night last night.


    My Xbox has been on instant on mode and never actually turns off. When I woke up this morning the Xbox was in standby mode with the Orange light lit on my power brick. Why did this happen? I don't think there were any updates last night.

    humming or buzzing while in standby?

    My Xbox one is in the "instant on" standby mode. It was in this state all night last night. I came downstairs this morning, and I can hear an audible hum from the xbox one. It is not loud, but I can hear it across the room. Any suggestions on how to fix
    this?

    Downloads in Standby Mode.

    This was not the case for me. Went to bed with downloads queued last night. Turned the Xbox off, went to bed. This morning had a "download failed" message at the same point where I went to standby

    Hey Andisson! Is it possible there was an interruption of power to the console last night such as the main house/building power being temporarily switched off?

    Any interruption of power to the console will cause it to exit the instant on mode and over to standby.

    Same problem here and my Xbox One is connected to an UPS NoBreak. There are alot of people with the same problem. I think Microsoft is not aware of this issue.

    Even when my Series S is in Shutdown mode, games and apps will not install.

    Thanks! I tried that and even left it on one night (about 6 hours). It went into standby mode at some point during that time. It was at 43% when I left it and I woke up to 48%. I finally just sat and babysat it last night, do now it's installed and updated. I'll try adjusting the settings!

    xbox not staying in standby mode over night sometimes

    no what i was trying to describe were 3 different occuring bugs that happened in the same 24hrs not one after the other.

    1: CoD game starts lagging badly then it crashed then reloaded back to the main menu by itself

    2: i turned off my system and 15mins later went to go back on and the brightness level of my screen at the xbox home and on games was very low. I checked my pc input and it was not a dim brightness. I hard reset it and it fixed it.

    3: i turned my system off for the night and woke up to the xbox not in standby mode and this happened twice to me now, but it's on the rare side. The power brick was orange and my xbox booted from the green xbox loading screen as it would if it were not
    in standby mode.

    Just was nervous it could be a hardware issue
