    Is it normal for the fan to make this noise? It is not noisy but very annoying

    Xbox one fan

    my Xbox one will make a weird buring sound that sounds like the fan inside of it. it is really loud and the xbox refuses to login in and it is just stuck on signing you in forever and i don't want to turn on because i'm scared that if the fan doesn't work
    the xbox will over heat could anybody help?

    Update?

    why does every time I turn my Xbox one on I need to update the console? I keep " updating " it 3 times already..

    PS: my power adapter keeps making weird sounds. The fan maybe.

    sounds like there may be a barring going bad on the fan. Of course that could be distortion. To be safe I would have it sent it for warranty work or repair based on the sound. You can do that by going to

    support.xbox.com/.../getting-your-product-serviced

    I just want u to know that the "ticking" fan sound is very common... My xbox one s have had this issue since brand new.

    There are professional tests done, check youtube. It's nothing to worry about since the fan aren't broken or anything. It's just anoying.

    I was dusting around my entertainment stand the other day and noticed my Xbox sounded like it was on, or at least the fan or hard drive was spinning. I investigated... it was definitely off. Weird.
