XBOX ONE Warranty a joke! New adopters register and warranty up

well, ill be damned. November is right around the corner and will mark one year since I picked up a day one edition of Xbox One through Microsoft online store. I thought I would check all my devices (360's included) to make sure I could keep them all up
to date with extended service warranty's ect. Aside from not being able to access the information on when my warranty's due to some "error occurred to process request, try again later" on myservices.xbox Device Manager page but after talking with an Xbox Rep.
wouldnt you know it! This $500 + black box is only under warranty for 365 days! Also little did I know you have only 45 days to purchase an extended service warranty for your box after date of purchase. I feel like an idiot. I hope all new adopters have a
chance to read the fine print and warranty up their box's unlike my stupid ***.... that is all.....sigh

Oops again, LOL

I just looked at my extended warranty and my Xbox One is only covered until the year 2016 (not 2017).

$90.00 ($7.50 a month for 12 months) for an extra year to simply swap my console in the store if ANYTHING happens to it; totally worth it

@Lei: A year warranty costed you 90 dollars? Where the heck did you get your Xbox? That's too much. 3 year was only 57 for me.

After rereading the OP's statement, it just seems to me that he was complaining (just like any of us would at this point), but also giving a warning to new people that might be buying their console new here in the future. I mean the Xbox one is going to
be only 349.00 coming up here soon.

I think a lot of people have missed what I believe was the OP's point. Why does Microsoft only give you 45 days to purchase the extended warranty? Like I said on all the other company's consoles you can purchase the extended warranty any time In the first
12 months which it sounds like he was trying to do.

It shows a low confidence level in there hardware imo. Same goes for the short controller warranty.

You guys should relax on the OP a bit he actually makes a decent point. The only thing to compare the situation too is if he bought the "other" console. They let you add the extended warranty any time in the first 12 months that your covered under the original
warranty..

And there controllers have a 12 month warranty instead of a 90 day. Microsoft should step there warranty game up.

I was under the impression that I could extend the warranty like I did the 360's as long as the console was under warranty. I don't feel entitled to a life time warranty I was just halfway complaining, halfway trying to post so anyone who doesn't know does
and adds the service extend within the timeframe. you forum heads are ridiculous
