Xbox One W10 Streaming.

Hello. I am having a problem getting my Xbox One streaming to my W10 computers. I have tries wireless and wired, different switches, and different locations around my house. When I go into the W10 app I can see my Xbox One activity for a second then the
app just locks up I even took just the Xbox and a Windows 10 laptop and put them on a single 5 port GB switch with no other network traffic, and still no dice. By all accounts it should be working, but it's not. Any ideas?

When streaming your Xbox One to your W10 PC you can just connect your controller to your PC and play like this. W10 should have the controller drivers ready to go already, just connect your controller via a USB cable or via Bluetooth (Bluetooth is only available
if you have the new controller which comes with the Xbox One S)

How long have you had Windows 10? Has game streaming worked previously?

Can you do anything with the App or does it just lock-up pretty much as soon as you open it each time?

Try going into the MS store and checking for updates and see if there is one available for the Xbox App. If not, double check the version that you have. (It shows a number, something like 9xxxx.xxxx.xxxx when the app is loading up.

 

I've been running W10 since official launch in August, and it has never worked. I have automatic updates on for the app setup, but I just doublechecked and it is the current version. It launches and when I browse my Xbox One history, I can view it for
a second, but it still locks up on me. I'm able to connect, and even tell it to shut off, but that's it.

 

It's also doing it on multiple W10 computers I have, so it's not just an isolated PC issue.

 

Try turning off location services. That worked for me. I'd still like a fix that would enable me to keep location services on though.
