    XBox One Voicechat / Party Chat Not working - NAT Type is Open


    Fir a few weeks I have not been able to access voice/party/crossplay chat.

    My NAT is open on Xbox, and also shows open in Warzone Lobby. The microphone test works fine, and all privacy settings are open. However, as soon as I am invited to a party, I cannot hear or speak to people and vice versa.

    I have reviewed settings multiple times, I have even taken my xbox to a friends to try it on their internet, and still nothing, so I assume thi sis nt a router issue ( I have also manually ported my xbox to my router which resolved an initial Moderate NAT, changing it to 'Open').

    I am completely baffled and would appreciate any suggestions having been through numerous chats posted, and still cannot adress the issue.

    I only really play COD Warzone, and currently have Cold War, teh Multiplayer chat in CW also doesnt work.

    Party Chat not working correctly

    I cannot chat with anyone using the party chat app today. My NAT type is open, and my friends all have open NAT as well, but we all get "could not start party chat" whenever we try to talk with one another.

    It worked at one point in the day but it seems its down again now...

    Sorry to hear about the party chat trouble you're having. First thing to check would be the NAT type of your Xbox One and the NAT type of the friends you're trying to chat with. If NAT types are anything than open it can cause issues, give this

    @ clankyNinja I only got that "can not turn on chat right now" message once yesterday and my NAT type was Moderate and I haven't got that message since I had my NAT type Open and this method worked for me and my friends who couldn't party chat to work.
