    Xbox One Virtually Unusable


    I have an Xbox One Console, 500 Gb, around 2-3 yrs old. In the last several months it has become increasingly difficult to use as it hangs on several menus etc. However, in the last couple of days it's actually become completely unusable. We tried offline
    updates to no avail and yesterday had to reset the entire device. We could not log into the system, it would crash or hang every time we booted then it would give a startup error every time we rebooted so we reset it. Now it won't download games - stuck at
    1% and not moving, stopping the install. Sometimes I can log in, sometimes it hangs up. Network setting are good but the system is basically unusable at this point.

    Help. Any help would be appreciated.

    Are you saying you keep disconnecting from xbox live ?

    When the main menu loads up it constantly says connect to Xbox live so the store and other online viewable content is never accessible and when I connect it doesn't change anything

    Not sure if this means anything to anybody but when I've tried the Xbox Beta App it says "Invalid Pointer" instead of "Something went wrong" below the we can't show your friends message.
    Still having this issue, makes the app virtually unusable. Still no fixes for this?

    Thanks for replying but I find the system virtually unusable. Given that my son has been threatened with real world violence and called a [Mod Removed- Inappropriate] and that neither blocking or reporting has stopped it I really need
    to speak to a human being but that is the one thing the system is set up to prevent. I feel totally dissatisfied.

    You could try to download the latest update on a PC and use a USB stick to update the Xbox.

    Follow This Link to get a guide on how to do that.

    Or as a last step, reset the console to factory settings.
